Hubby and I stayed during the week for our anniversary get away. We stayed in the King Jacuzzi suite with a River view. The room was clean and comfortable. The decor was outdated but I’ve definitely seen way worse at a lodge type place. Sheets were not the softest I’ve slept with but I didn’t mind that much. We also did their Segway tour which we both highly recommend. It was fun and something new to try. Our guide was pleasant and helpful especially during the training. They have a few other activities there we didn’t try but looked fun. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We rode the ski-lift to the restaurant and had a delicious meal! (Great burgers, wraps, salads, etc) Service was great! Then we did the Flying Eagle and rode the slide back down the hill! What a great time! It was so much fun!! We will be back!

My family of 5 (3 teenagers) went the week of April 15th. We had planned on staying 3 nights, but ended up staying only 2. This was good bc on the 3rd day they had to shut off the water for a few hours. We stayed in the huge room on the 3rd floor. (I think it’s supposed to sleep 16, but there’s no way I’d sleep on the couches.). We got such an a unbelievably low rate bc it was the off season. The restaurants were closed, there’s no elevator and our room was super outdated... I mean really in need of an update. I knew all of this going into it. The place was so empty. It was a bit too quiet. The view was amazing and the staff were super nice. At one point they opened the deck so my husband and I could enjoy a bottle of wine watching the sun set. I’d like to go back during the season when the restaurants and slide are open if I can get a good deal again.

We stayed at Chestnut Mountain Resort during a family road trip in late March. The resort was fairly busy, despite being the off season. We will not go back. The rate was waaayyy too high for what we received. The hotel is dated, the room was dated and not clean appearing. The pool and sauna were great, the hot tub was weird...very shallow. For the price, we expected a continental breakfast, nope. We expected a hairdryer, nope. We don't recommend the resort. It was definitely overpriced. We could have stayed at any hotel for a cheaper rate and had better amenities. The people working there were very nice.

We visited in early feb, our first time here. I had been skiing in my youth, but it was the very first time to ski for my wife and 2 kids (6 and 4 years old). We had individual lessons for each, and the care and instruction provided was excellent. You can tell that there is a high level of passion from the staff. Overall layout of the slopes etc was good. There are a couple of bunny hill options which is nice. The bigger hills are good. And they have alternate routes to help mix it up. The cafeteria style restaurant was good, there is also a server type upstairs (but we didn’t go there - some friends did and they said it was good. Price is a little on the high side. Overall, great skiing. Would come again. And I would consider staying in the resort. The purpose of this first trip with the family was to develop the kids interest in the sport, that was definitely accomplished (I would say a big part of it had to do with the instructors handling the kids). Thank you.
