Love, love, love this hidden gem. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are quiet and immaculate and the beds are super comfortable. Lots of extra nice touches like candy jars placed in strategic places and a lovely library open to guests make this place special. Parking is close but a lil quirky.

For a cold weekend, we could not have picked a better place to stay. The staff were very accommodating and helpful whenever needed. Its not your glitzy fancy hotel, but a quaint, warm and inviting hotel. My favorite was the ride in the elevator. It was an antique elevator with the sliding lattice doors. Absolutely intriguing. The breakfast each morning had... More

Wonderful little inn, with charming old world decor. We pretended we were traveling in Europe once again. Our room was not large, but adequate. The old elevator alone is worth the nights stay. Check out the library! Delicious breakfadt buffet was included. Lots of lovely pasteries. If you want charm, yet have the city feel (minutes walk to downtown Evanston... More

Loved our stay and was a novel experience. Would highly recommend. The ambiance felt like a different era completely (be sure to use the elevator). The breakfast was luxurious. We will definitely be returning here when we stay in Evanston next.

This small and charming hotel will far exceed your expectations. The rooms have recently been redone, the price is very attractive and the staff is so kind. Breakfasts feature croissants by Phillip and wonderful yoghurt. Can't wait to return!

I stayed here recently while visiting my student at Northwestern University. Not too many hotel choices in Evanston, so took a chance on the Margarita, and very happy I did. The staff could not have been more pleasant on check-in and throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet each morning was well-stocked with a nice variety of pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, hard... More

Stayed over a home Northwestern game..about a 30 min walk to Ryan Field. My biggest complaint is although we expected to pay an highly inflated rate due to home game...the hotel then added a "hotel services fee". This was in addition to already inflated rate..parking fee...taxes ect. We questioned this at checkout (Sunday) and was told it was due to... More

This hotel is very comfortable, like an aunt's living room and parlor. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean, though not enough counter space. The breakfast was great - especially the house made pastries! The location is great - not a long walk to restaurants, cafes and shops.

This is a charming, old property which is very reminiscent of a European hotel. Lovely common rooms. Convenient location to Northwestern University and excellent restaurants. However, I cannot recommend it. Handicapped access is poor. No one to help with luggage. Ancient elevator hard to use while handling luggage. Water temperature in shower almost impossible to regulate Handicapped access is proble
