Although we haven't stayed at the resort we went over to eat at their restaurant a few times. We were amazed by their beautiful location and surrounding nature. Especially the bay! The food was amazing - my boyfriend said they served the best fish he had in Bali during our 3 months stay. Welcoming and friendly staff, great food all... More

Went there for dinner, had been told it was an excellent place to eat, best food in Balian. All three things I chose off the menu weren't available which included a steak, a flat white coffee and a beer other than Bintang. Very disappointed, will not be back.

Dear Sir Thank you for your review. As soon as you got seated to your table i came to tell you we did not have steak on that day due to religious ceremony .It is a fact we have only Bintang beer available. The flat white coffee i do not understand . This is all . Regards More

Each room is it's own little villa.................very private with beach access. Spent 3 weeks..................could have easily stayed longer. the included breakfast is all fresh and to order..........not just a breakfast buffet. All the meals were very good.

The different beachs near the hotel, the secret caves, and the plantations at a walking distance are just wonderful. Perfect location for surfing, exploring by walking long sand beach, plantation. brand new bycicles free for use. The hotel, rooms, restaurant and pool are really fantastic. Employes can organize all activities you wish to do.

Beautiful peaceful place, lovely people, service a bit slow at times. We had some plumbing issues with a bathtub and that took quite some time to repair. Aside from that we loved staying here! So pristine and away from the maddening crowd, it was precisely what was needed. Would go back in a heart beat.

The location is great. 5-10 mins walk to the surf beach and cafes/ restaurants and 2 mins walk down the a deserted long black sandy beach. The staff were super friendly especially Made who works at the pool bar and who delighted our 6 year old with his drawings and Indonesian lessons. The rooms are comfortable and clean. (only downside... More

On my way to Ijen Volcano, I decided to stop at Gajah Mina, and tried the new villa, I had heard of through some friends, who stayed there. What a pleasant spot! Welcomed by a great view of the fountain in the bathroom garden, through this nicely carved Javanese door. I was immediately attracted by the large mirror, reflecting the... More

Gajah Mina is on the Balian point a short walk to the surf beach to the left, fishing village on the right and a bat cave nestled into the cliff, right below, facing the sea. Two large monitor lizards live with the bats make you think Richard Attenborough must be lurking somewhere nearby. We had our 17 and 20 year... More

Our overall impression was that it felt empty rather than private. The hotel doesn't seem to host a lot of guests which is probable due to a number of factors - it is not the easiest place to get to, it is on the higher end of the price scale for the area and the private beach is not for... More
