We enjoyed our stay in the cabins. It's a great setting and it was perfect for our family gathering. I wanted to give it more stars but there were several small things that need attention. The cabins have bath towels but no hand towels or washcloths. Some of the kitchen towels are really grungy and stained. The plates, glasses and silverware are extremely cheap. There was only one large dinner fork and several salad forks in a cabin that sleeps 8. There were 4 dull, bent and broken knives. All of the pots and pans are in very poor condition and make cooking very difficult. The first day the miniblinds fell down because they were mounted with tape. I hope the new owners put some money into the finishings. The place has great potential with some basic upkeep.
Even though we were only there for a short trip, we wished we could have stayed longer! The cabins are located in such a peaceful location and are stocked with amenities any traveler will find useful and comforting. In addition, Bob and Dixie were extremely welcoming and we cannot wait to stay with them again in the future!
Dixie and Bob welcome us with open arms, when we checked in to our cabin. We drove 7 hours to get away from fireworks in our neighborhood, our dogs hate the noise. It was a peaceful 4th of July, we were happy and most of all our four legged babies were so happy. The cabin (Bears Den) was ready for us, and so clean. I am a clean freak and I was very pleased. Dixie and Bob provided towels and wash cloths, and soap it was great, a forest get away, but spa feel. They also provided the wood for your campfires. The stars at night were unbelievable, I have never seen so many before. The property was so clean and very well kept. There were goats and horses, and dogs all the animals were so friendly. If you are looking for a pet friendly clean get away this is your place. …
Stayed in a cute cabin with a large screen porch, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms. Was a bit dusty but very comfortable, dog-friendly and met our needs. Owners are super nice. Hiking trail across the street. Had our own fire pit with plenty of seating around it. Would stay there again!
I booked the Cougar Bluff cabin after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. The descriptions of the cabin posted by the owners were spot on and they seemed to think of everything you could need, they even provide free firewood. We will definitely be back!! One caveat for people with AT&T cellphones there was no service at our cabin but with wifi supplied at the cabin we were able to make due with out any issues. Once again this place is an incredible bargain for what is provided.
