My wife and I stayed in one of the rooms in the farm house. The room was big and had everything we wanted. It was so comfortable. We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Every meal we had was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and they were happy to help. They made the stay so enjoyable. We will be going back again later this year.

When were got to the pub we noticed that the garden was closed which was disappointing as it was a lovely day. We asked the manager if we could sit outside politely but were immediately rebuffed with a story about how there were hospitality shortages and didn't we read the news which took us by surprise. We were shown to a somewhat cheerless room and when he came back to take the order for drinks started again on the lack of staff as if somehow we could do something about it! The menu was limited but everything we ordered was very good and delivered by efficient staff. The village itself is lovely but the pub although very clean was average with very standard pub grub. We had a nice lunch but wasted what could have been a lovely garden lunch on a beautiful day.

Stayed at Pilsley Devonshire Arms for two nights. Excellent location being great for accessing Chatsworth House estate & great walks close by. The accommodation is excellent, clean rooms, very comfy bed, nice toiletries with tea, coffee, water & biscuits left as complimentary items. COVID safety measures really well managed. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus all delivered superb meals. Local lamb (braised shoulder) was excellent. To top all of the above, each staff member we came into contact with was courteous, cheery and helpful....to be honest the staff as a team made our break superb. Special mention to the ‘Breakfast Team’.
