We stayed with 4 people over the weekend. It was reasonably priced, in a great location close to the magnificent mile. The elevator is extremely dated and small, and the customer service was less than anticipated. This is a good place to stay overall if you don't mind dated rooms, small elevator and small bathroom.

Nice facility but needs some updating. Close to everything. Bed is horrible. Woke up stiff and every move you make bed creeks horribly. Clean kitchen and bathroom. We stayed here for location and it was worth it. We will definitely visit again.

Pros: Dewitt is about 10-15 minutes walk from the Magnificent Mile, 20 minutes walk to the pier and 5 minute walk to get a bus to go to other areas. Room was quite spacious and we had a few good TV channels. Decent amount of wardrobe space Cons: Bathroom was worn and small and when the loo flushed it kept... More

Arrived on New Years Day, Friday the 1st and noticed a "out of order" sign on elevator. When I asked the employee checking us in she indicated that the elevator repair company was on their way. She then informed us that we would be using the "freight" elevator. Well that was a disaster from the start as just the 2... More

Had to cancel my stay due to a winter storm (flight was cancelled). The manager was very insensitive and did not offer us any solution for refund. Be careful when booking here, especially at booking.com

Our first room had a terrible sofa bed. Then they changed it or changed the room (I don't remember as this was November 2014) and it was great. Nice big kitchen and den area. Very clean also! Location is pretty good also. Staff very cordial.

The location is just about perfect: two blocks from Water Tower place and all the glam if Magnificent Mile. The place (which is not a hotel in full meaning of the word, to begin with) is near almost everything, in safe, quiet area. The staff appears helpful and polite. This is the end of good things I can say. For... More

This place is very close to Michigan avenue, only two blocks away. I had a apartment on the 10th floor. My apartment was very cold and the heater did not work well. I told to the reception and they have advised me to use the fan in the closet which was very small for the apartment. Apart from the heating... More

DeWitt Place is located on a very quiet street just a few blocks between The Miracle Mile and Lake Michigan. We were pleasantly surprised by our accommodations and the location for the price. The staff is there to help customers in any way they can. Having a full kitchen in our room was a great plus!

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
