From start of our vacation till last day everything was great. Good location. Would stay here again. Traveling as a single mom with 2 teens. Felt safe. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Starbucks in the hotel as well.
Working in the hospitality industry I know what to expect. This Hilton was fantastic! Friendly staff, fantastic location, facilities, etc… I have so many superlatives to describe this Hilton, it was a pleasure staying! I’ll be back next time I’m in Chicago
Very close to everything you would want to see on Michigan Ave or at the water front. We walked a lot. If memory serves, the hotel is maybe 1 block off Michigan Ave. Self park was a little big of a pain as it's at the Hancock Tower and you have to take 2 elevators and the drive up and drive down is tight for a large SUV. The room was fine and was clean though the beds were too soft. We had a very hard time getting the room cooled off for sleeping and finally had to resort to opening the windows. There is not food on site but there's a coffee shop and pantry area on the bottom floor. Elevators were mostly available and we never had to wait long. The rate for the location was hard to beat.
I booked a trip to Chicago to take my two girls and wife to on a quick weekend trip to see and tour the city. With my girls being massive American Girl doll fans, I went ahead and booked the American Girl doll package, in hopes that this would really set apart the trip for them. This package is an absolute waste of money for anyone considering it. Considering the price difference between the normal room rate and the American girl package is roughly $75 more a night, I was hoping for more than just a canned pre-typed letter that wasn’t even personalized (even though I provided them in advance) and a couple of “beds” for their dolls. Considering over the 3 night stay, there was an additional charge of over $200 for this “amenity” I couldn’t recommend it to anyone. In addition to the poor package experience, the hotel itself just seemed a bit outdated. Our room had multiple plugs that didn’t work. The finishings looked worn and like something out of the 90s. There’s no real on-site amenities outside of the highly chlorine filled pool. The staff was relatively friendly for the majority of the stay. The valet service could use some customer service training but other than that, it was fine but nothing beyond just fine. All in all, I would likely never stay at this hotel again, even as a gold member.…
We had two rooms, one for my husband and I and one for my parents. Upon checking in at 4pm, my parent's room had not been cleaned. They walked in to a messy bed and towels on the floor. We let the front desk know and went to dinner and a show. We came back and the bed was made, but the room was not clean. There was mess in the sink and stuff on the floor. They called down and were told they could either move or get hilton points. At 10pm, they opted for Hilton points. The next day, we called down to the Valet for our car and proceeded to the lobby. After waiting 20 minutes, they brought up the wrong car. They then told my husband that it would be another 30 minutes to get the correct car because they were busy. We went to the front desk because after paying $80 to valet, this is completely unacceptable. The talked to the valet and told us our car would be next and if it took more than 10 minutes more, they would credit us. So only after waiting for 40 minutes would we get our $80 back. Surprise, surprise. It took another 20 minutes to get the car. So frustrating. The whole thing was a giant mess and we will be switching to Marriott. …
Lovely place. Great for whatever reasons you’re traveling. Even if you’re treating yourself to a small staycation. You’ll love it. It’s surrounded by several dining options, small cafes and shopping. Very clean and cozy.
Great location, quiet, rooms were great size and cleanliness. Housekeeper helped out the first day quite a bit with extras when we needed them. Close to parks, Michigan avenue. So quiet I could hear the birds chirping in the city. Lake view. The only thing I wish it had was better pillows and a hot tub in the pool area.
Great location for seeing downtown Chicago. Located in Magnificent Mile, across the street from the John Hancock Building (Chicago 36), and within walking distance of the red line and Navy Pier. Suites are spacious with a couch/living area and wet-bar with fridge and microwave. Great views. Pool and fitness area (split into 3 little rooms) located on the 30th floor with incredible views of the city. Just be aware that the "Starbucks" in the lobby is not a real Starbucks, but carries a few drinks.
We have stayed here twice, and both times, we chose this hotel because of its proximity to the American Girl Place and because of the American Girl package. We went for the first time in 2021 during Covid restrictions, so it was of course very clean then, although certain amenities, such as the pool, were not open, and Chicago itself was a ghost town! We went back again this year because of our great first experience, and we will certainly stay again. We first chose this hotel because it is very close to the American Girl Place, it has a pool, and the prices are reasonable, while still being a nice hotel in a great location. The people are all very helpful and friendly. The young man at the front desk, Ryan, was especially helpful. He was so professional, patient, and helpful. We stayed two nights, and he both checked us in and checked us out, and helped with any questions we had. The hotel itself felt very welcoming because of him. He always remembered us and asked about our Chicago adventures, etc. Our suite was very clean. There are some things that might need updating, but it was very clean and very comfortable. Shower was hot, views of the city were amazing, bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool. The views from the pool on the 30th floor at night were very neat, and the room as well as the water were very comfortable temperatures. We had the American Girl package, which includes a doll bed, book, cookies and milk, and tickets to 360 Chicago, which is right next door and gives you views of the city from the 94th floor. That was something I wouldn't have thought to otherwise do, but it was a very cool experience. We didn't check out the restaurant because sushi is not our thing, but there are plenty of places within short walking distance, and plenty of places that deliver, so dining was never an issue for us. The small market in the lobby had drinks, coffee, pastries, snacks, etc, for those who need it. Although, same with the dining, the hotel is in such a prime location, that you can easily walk anywhere. We stayed there Feb 5-7, and even the winter walk was not a problem. Parking is expensive, but not by Chicago standards. You'll pay as much or more at any other hotel. We spent the extra money for the valet parking for the convenience, and I would also do that again. The valet drivers were very quick and professional. I would recommend this hotel, and we would stay here again!…
This is an avoid at all cost location. Overall vibe is pending doom. Staff not friendly, door men just talk to themselves - lobby has a weird smell and random people seem to be hanging out. Room was very “tired” and has that deep in the cracks filled with dirt and mystery build up kind of dirty.through out. Needed a shower once I was home to shower from the shower.
