On check out, I find out that not only is there a $100 ($20/day) extra charge, but I also had $50 ($10/day) credit to spend. I just don't like being duped, and was pretty disappointed that that was the last exchange with the hotel... The person helping me check out empathized and even gave me a $40 discount on the $100 I owed in hidden fees...

Despite the small room we had at this historic hotel, the staff more than made up for any issue! The doorman, Chuck Webster, was incredible kind and considerate with a visitor from California, going above and beyond to help with a disabled sister and service dog... His reassuring calm and suggestions for navigating the area were invaluable... The desk and restaurant staff were also marvelous, and the Allegro should be very proud for there top notch customer service!...

We got a Deluxe King room, which was small but comfortable, and very nicely appointed... The bed was comfortable, and the room had typical noise associated with a hotel in the city... Overall, it was an excellent stay, and if you are going to a show at the Palace you cannot beat it as it is a mere steps away... It was wonderful being able to leave coats in the hotel and get into the theatre without my wife getting chilly...
