Since it's a per day fee, why can't I get the bottled water per day?... These Covid rules are no longer necessary and only adding to the hotels profits and not the guests' needs and must stop... On check out, I find out that not only is there a $100 ($20/day) extra charge, but I also had $50 ($10/day) credit to spend. The options to buy were either cookies and chips that were a few dollars each or $25 (over priced) bottles of wine... I couldn't even use the $50 towards tips for the room service staff... I just don't like being duped, and was pretty disappointed that that was the last exchange with the hotel... The person helping me check out empathized and even gave me a $40 discount on the $100 I owed in hidden fees...

This year, they made great efforts to cater to the marathon runners in town for the weekend... Their genuine efforts to accommodate guests create a welcoming atmosphere that makes up for the property's shortcomings... The Allegro Royal Sonesta's prime location offers easy access to Chicago's iconic attractions, such as Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile, and countless restaurants and entertainment options... Guests seeking to immerse themselves in the city's vibrant culture will appreciate the hotel's proximity to the renowned theaters and museums... While the hotel's amenities suffice for a comfortable stay, the addition of modern facilities and features could further enhance the overall guest experience... In conclusion, The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel is an excellent choice for those prioritizing location and convenience... Nevertheless, the friendly staff and the hotel's strategic position in the heart of Chicago make it a worthwhile option for visitors looking to explore the city's bustling energy...

...We decided to stay here since we were attending Les Miserables at the Cadillac Palace Theater. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and the entrance from Randolph St. was breathtaking... We got a Deluxe King room, which was small but comfortable, and very nicely appointed... The bed was comfortable, and the room had typical noise associated with a hotel in the city... Overall, it was an excellent stay, and if you are going to a show at the Palace you cannot beat it as it is a mere steps away... It was wonderful being able to leave coats in the hotel and get into the theatre without my wife getting chilly...

...I always stay at this hotel when I run the Chicago Marathon because of its proximity to the start/finish line and the Blue Line from the airport. This year, they made great efforts to cater to the marathon runners in town for the weekend... On marathon morning, they set out both hot and iced coffees and hot water for tea super early (like at 4 am but I didn’t get down to the lobby until after 5 am, lol)... They also provided snacks (apples and yogurt)... Best of all, they had epsom salts ready for us at the end of the race... My room had a tub, so it was rejuvenating to soak after running 26.2 miles... If I get the privilege to run Chicago Marathon a fourth time, I will be staying here again... Thank you for treating us during Marathon Weekend!...

Great service. Iyonna behind the front desk made sure I had a great stay and was very professional. She provided very quality service. I also left one of my shirts in the closet after I departed and the hotel reached out to me via email and with an option to have them ship me my shirt. Again great service.

This will become my go-to hotel for work trips to Chicago. It is in a great location in the Loop, has very welcoming staff, and nice little rooms. Yes the rooms are a little small but they have everything you need.. The hotel has a great fitness center, a beautiful lobby, and a morning coffee bar. I highly recommend!

We had a drink at their bar before a show, it was great ambiance and great service! Our server lucie was very attenative and was able to craft a custom cocktail for one party of our group on demand. Highly reccomend their vintage cocktail selection. I ordered a corpse reviver no 2 and it was a superb mechansim for gin delivery.

My stay was a symphony of comfort and elegance. The bed was so comfy, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The attentive staff, exemplified by the ever-helpful Eric, elevated the experience with their warm hospitality and genuine care. The beautiful decor throughout the hotel was captivating. Although the bathroom was on the petite side, it is cleverly maximised space. Overall, my stay was a truly memorable and inviting escape.

Had a great experience, friendly staff, clean rooms, and a great location. When I checked in Iyonna was knowledgable about the area and gave me some great recommendations for things to do. There is a nice waiting area on the ground floor to sit and have a coffee and watch all of the people walking by when you're taking a break. It's right on the loop, near some great restaurants and only a few blocks from Millennium Park and the lake. I was there for several days and will definitely book there again when I'm in town.

Ok I am only leaving this review because of all the positive reviews that can be misleading. The hotel lobby and other areas are amazing. Very nice. But the rooms are AWFUL. They are small…like a walk in closet small. It’s dark and drab. I felt depressed like I was in a prison cell. No coffee maker, no pen or paper, no good tv channels, barely any toiletries, the shower had mold around the tub. Bathroom was so small it almost felt like an airplane bathroom. The room window was so dirty I didn’t need to close the curtain. The ac wouldn’t go down past 65. No room service. No daily room service. Weird smells in the room. They had to move me because my second room smelled strongly of ketchup. The first room was literally in front of 3-4 elevators. In my final 3rd room, I literally heard my neighbor on her conference call for about 40 mins. Word by word!!! No soundproofing at all. Which was fun to listen to when my neighbor took a shower and had sex. At the lobby bar, a creepy guy harassed all the women (except me) and then grabbed a woman. After that I was creeped out because he wasn’t staying at the hotel per the bartender but was still able to roam the hotel. The room door only had a chain on it so I did not feel safe. The location sucks too because there was not a lot close by except for a Starbucks. I didn’t feel safe walking too far. The only positive thing was the service…the staff, every single one them from the reception to the bartenders were just exceptional. I think they all deserve a raise. They were so incredibly nice, professional and helpful. If this hotel can change the carpet, wallpaper and curtains in the rooms, add back coffeemakers, and room service and add more channels to the tv, it would be a nice place. But until then it’s a no for me. But thank you to the staff. You guys are amazing.
