Stayed here for 4 nights for a very affordable price. I did not place any expectations even though I read reviews beforehand. The location is perfect and convenient for any tourist. It sits in the heart of downtown and magnificent mile. It is very accessible to public transportation. Our room is clean, organized and decent in size with vintage touches... More

Stayed here as part of a fly cruise city break. Hotel is centrally located within the city's 'mad mile' so plenty of shops cafés restaurants to go at. The hotel is traditionally built and carries many original features, staff are very friendly and helpful Not many in the restaurant and as we didn't eat there can't really comment on food.... More

We live in Chicago and each year at Christmas select a hotel to spend a night in downtown as we view the Holiday windows and lights on the "Magnificent Mile". We chose the Warwick Allerton this year and found it good but not great. The front desk staff were courteous and friendly and the lobby bar staff was exceptional. The... More

Front desk staff was incredible, rooms were clean and offered a great view. Centrally located in Downtown Chicago the Warwick is located next to Hundreds of shopping venues and delicious restaurants. I will be staying here again very soon!

The hotel overall was very good but parking was ridiculous expensive for hotel guests, almost same price that I paid for the hotel which is not fair for me as I guests. However , the room was nice and clean

Thank you for sharing your comments with us. We agree that parking fees have become high, however this is something that all hotels here in the downtown market share (our pricing is on the low end) and is primarily due to taxes levied by the city. We appreciated having you as our guest and hope you return again soon. More

This is a grand old hotel - beautiful entrance. Great location in heart of River North. Near Michigan Mile for shopping and numerous restaurants. We spent several nights here for Chicago's Restaurant Week and enjoyed every minute. The rooms are not large but comfortable and very quiet. "Very Green!" We didn't need to have clean towels each day and we... More

This hotel is near the corner of Michigan & Chicago Avenues. It is close to EVERYTHING! Located near Watertower Place, on the Magnificent Mile and near so many excellent restaurants. Just a short jaunt to the CTA Chicago & State station. The rooms are very elegant, not huge but sufficient for your needs. Check them out on your next Chicago... More

Great location, friendly and professional staff from the entrance to the top. Breakfast staff were consummate professionals and top star when I called down to ask that my breakfast be ready when I came down from my room. It was exactly as asked for, prompt, delicious and hot.

I have stayed in full-service hotels all over the world (Paris, Kenya, Croatia...) and can honestly say that I have never had more friendly and professional service anywhere. I have stayed at the Allerton more than once already in 2016. Staff has blown me away by consistently and promptly attending to all my needs. The reservations desk, doormen, and room... More

This is a great hotel if your looking to be in the middle of a great shopping area. Be aware that free in-room wifi isn't available but the staff are very friendly. The hotel has a great vibe and I would consider staying here again.

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
