This was my second and my husband's first stay and it surpassed by highest, most glowing reports to him. There is just nothing that could have made our stay better unless of course we had stayed longer. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and so well appointed. The staff was friendly. The breakfast setting was wonderful and the menu...

Our party of 10 stayed here for 4 nights. The location was near Michigan Ave. close to many attractions and transportation. The front desk clerks were helpful and called for taxis, arranged for tours for us. We arrived on a Thurs. just in time to enjoy the complimentary buffet (salad, nachos, chili & cheese) which was perfect after flying in...

The location is great, parking like all the hotels is very, very expensive. The room was great for one person, with full kitchen. I'm not sure it would have worked for two. There are only two elevators both slow. The staff is cordial and helpful. The buffet was below par - coffee was good and two public computers which was...

The only thing missing at this Hotel is a good Bar! Had to walk a block to the Millenia or the Drake to celebrate with family but the rest of this hotel is just fine. Rooms adequate in size with the little kitchen we did not use, but interesting if you have a week of business and you want to...

Stayed here 9/19/12. Great location for North Michigan Avenue area. Clean, spacious room. No need for the kitchen but if you stayed longer it had everything you may need. View was not great(roof of other buiding) but we were barely in the room. Evening food and morning breakfast that pretty much had anything you may want for breakfast. Went to...

Went for a few days to get away, just a couple of mom's and our kiddos. Excellent location. Walking distance to shopping, eating, and the American Girl Place. We had the two bedroom suite, and it was the perfect size. The location of the hotel felt really safe, almost residential. Easy to catch cabs, near bus stops if you choose...

I was in Chicago for a week for business. The location was nice and there was a lot to see and do within walking distance. The room I checked into smelled badly from BO. The front desk was able to get me into a new upgraded room the next day. They weren't very nice, but they were attentive. My biggest...

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay at our hotel. I would love to address the concern regarding our elevators and the staircase access. The Residence Inn Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile was converted from a Chicago condo building to a hotel in 1991. Our hotel is equipped with 3 elevators that do become quite crowded...

This hotel is in a lovely residential-like setting. It is craftsman style and very warm. It is near Sotheby's and close to the Magnificent Mile. There are two bedrooms available as well as one. It is comfortable, reasonable and you may get breakfast included if you have the right deal! I would return to this hotel when going back to...

Overall, we really enjoyed our 6 night stay from Aug 25-31 2012. The hotel is in an excellent location, about 2 blocks east of Michigan Ave. It is not real convenient to catch the Red Line, but cabs and buses are within easy walking distance. There are 2 main elevators and one for freight/animals, and they are slow, so you...

We stayed here in late July and found this hotel a tremendous value. The hotel was clean and friendly. The staff extremely helpful. people were whining about elevators at this place but we felt they were fine? Not sure why people complained. Hint: Use the service elevator! Easy to do and OK to use! Breakfast was plentiful. Delicious hot food...

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
