This was a true renaissance for my girlfriends and I! The hotel was absolutely rejuvenating! It offered an incredibly beautiful and convenient starting point for each of our 3 days in the city. Our goal was to recharge, change our routines, explore the city by day and night and leave with unforgettable memories and the hotel lived up to all... More

A nice hotel and a great location. Our experience was top notch. Our rooms were clean, modern and up-to-date, staff was friendly and attentive, and the kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Like any downtown hotel, it could get a little noisy at street level at night. Go for the high floors...

I love the renovations that were done. The lobby is very cool and different from other hotels that I stayed. I dropped off my car to the valet and when I got to the front desk they already knew my name. I really like the artwork and the way they designed the hotel. The room I had was a cut... More

I met some friends at the hotel bar called Raised. It was fun. Its on the third floor and has indoor and outdoor seating. Get there early for an outdoor seat, not sure if you can reserve. A beautiful view of Wacker Drive and the Chicago River. Take plenty of background pics, enjoy the view and have some specialty drinks

We are lucky to get a room facing the river on 25th floor. Had a great view of down town! The rooms are clean and well kept. But such a nice located hotel require a complete upgrade. The rooms and bathrooms are large & spacious. Good to be with family. The breakfast are great with good spread.

I have been staying at this hotel for over 20 years. They have done a very nice job of keeping the hotel renovated and modern. The rooms were great with very comfortable beds. There were some nice small details such as available iPhone charge cords in the rooms. I had a great river view. The location is also good to... More

It was my first time in Chicago and in a Renaissance as well, I've heard many great things from the hotel and I did a little research about the brand. I stay normally in Ritz Carlton or Jw Marriott's, but I wanted to try this one. Every Renaissance is supposed to capture something unique from the city they are located,... More

I have stayed here many times in the past. However, the new renovation is not functional. The rooms don't even have desks for work, the concierge lounge is not the same. A hotel that does not have a desk can no longer serve as functional business hotel. The workout room is the same, however, there is no longer a steam... More

Recently renovated, this hotel continues to be one of my favorites when visiting Chicago. It is perfectly located for quick and easy access to everything in downtown Chicago. Take the "Blue Line" train from O'Hare and get off at "Clark & Lake", or the "Orange" from Midway, either way you're about a block and a half from the hotel. From... More

My boyfriend and I were driving up to Minnesota on 4th weekend from Ohio and Chicago was about halfway so we decided to stay a night and meet up with an old friend. I am an over-researcher when it comes to hotels so I finally decided on Renaissance mostly because of its beautiful views! The hotel lobby and hotel art... More

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours.
