Let me start by saying the staff at the hotel are amazing from the front desk to security to the engineer and housekeeping which we had experiences with them all. Check in was simple and our room was very nice with the exception of a few things. The TV’s are Roku only which is fine except it wasn’t working we had to call The engineer up and it even took him 15 min to get it to work then it only half worked. The volume on the remote weren’t working so it was blaring for 30 minutes until he could come back and figure out how to turn it down. No ice bucket or extra linens for the the couch but, they were brought to us when we requested it. The whole hotel smelled like marijuana not just when you walked outside and people we smoking it right at the entrance but, the hallways, elevators and our room smelled like it. Not only was the marijuana smell sleeping into our room from the neighbors they were blasting music, yelling and knocking things over till 6 am when the fire alarms started going off. The low price definitely reeled is in this time but as last guests we will be paying the extra Money to stay somewhere else in the furture…
While driving my sister across country to move her to her new home, my family and I stopped at Rafaello's since they had the best price around the best food and views in town. My sister left her cash in a large envelope in the room and we didn't realize it until we were hundredsof miles away. With the help of the Rafaello cleaning and management staff, we were able to find and retrieve my sister's cash. Their service from check-in to post-check out was friendly, accommodating, and professional. Thank you to Imran and Ann for willingly helping our family at a very stressful time!
Front Desk: The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and professional. Security: Does his job but plays on his phone. Room: Well-decor and nice set-up. It's a cute room. Things that weren't good: Found hair in shower and bathroom floor. Sink leaked. Couldn't shower cause I was grossed out at the hair I saw. Tissue under bed. People staying at hotel made me feel uncomfortable because they were fighting and loud. I would not recommend staying at this hotel after my visit. I don't think this is a 4-star hotel. But it provides a decent room and space for what you pay & front desk is nice. (My room was a last minute booking)
Came to this hotel, booked a 2 bedroom suite get in the room and there is NO door on one of the bedrooms. I voice my concerns to the manager on duty and got NO ACCOMMODATION what so ever!!! They were VERY rude especially after the inconvenience they are putting us thru. Not only tht the room with no door is right by the door tht you enter into the hotel room. I am very upset and this is not how our trip was supposed to go. I have absolutely NO privacy in a suite!!!! I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN
The Raffelo in past years was one of the best kept secrets of a wonderful Boutique hotel in downtown Chicago. NO LONGER is this a great hotel. Not clean Worn carpet, who knows when it was cleaned last, paint peeling, clock wasn't plugged in. When I moved the nightstand to plug it in I noticed that there were burn marks on the wall plug. I did not plug it back in. Rooms are not cleaned, trash is not emptied, beds not made, fresh towels - All this is now EXTRA. No note of that when I made the reservation. They don't store luggage. Instead, the man at the front desk suggested a place across the street and down the stairs in a sketch convenience store. So we paid $12 per bag and he said he would put our bags in a secure room. We waited 20 minutes and he said they will be done soon. - his words. We came back 2.5 hours later - and there by the cash register our bags sat. This whole experience was a SCAM. DO NOT GO TO THE RAFFELO IN CHICAGO - it is NOT what it use to be!…
