Zero complaints. Eva at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, the fitness center and pool were clean and well maintained, and stayed in probably the nicest room I've ever paid for.
This was our second time staying at the Intercontinental Chicago recently. There are excellent protocols in place for COVID, the pool is open daily for generous hours (7-10), and staff is amazingly kind and accommodating. The location is central with restaurants nearby having take out or safe heated tent spaces. Our grandkids loved the largest hotel pool in Chicago (junior olympic size) which was not at all crowded, rooms are spacious, the limited staff either anticipated or supplied our every need. Plan a visit next month!
Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Chicago area! Easy access to the Magnificent Mile - easy and ample parking all around if needed, nice lounge on 32nd(?) floor gives breathtaking view of the area.
There was no wow factor considering the type of hotel it is supposed to be. The room was ill lit, the windows were not sound proof, so you could hear emergency vehicles all night long. The pool and workout area was nice though. The parking garage was not available
Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, and had a great view. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool was huge but very deep - shallow end started at 4.5 feet. No doorman but they called us a taxi and it was there within 10 minutes.
