I have stayed here many times and I have always been very happy. I only had a problem once, but they admitted the problem and made it all good again right away. On my most recent stay (may 15th-21st) they even went above and beyond. I have never had such a good experience anywhere in the world. I felt more...

You can't ask for a nicer check in experience. Paula made very pleasant conversation and was disappointed I was only staying for one night. Highlighting next time I need to spend some time seeing the city and I agreed. She got me checked in quickly and suggested some great steakhouses in the area. The room itself was very nice. All...

An amazing place, everyone was very helpful. If I stepped out to go somewhere, they immediately asked if I needed a cab or directions. Would highly recommend this hotel, not necessarily for children, more for business or personal vacation.

Good service by all employees I encountered, clean rooms and bathrooms and overall hotel, located on Michigan Avenue to be able to walk to all the Brand name stores, but I found the cost to be a little pricey.

I have stayed at the InterContinental a number of times over the years; I return to this hotel as the location is ideal and the service is always good. I have tried other hotels, from "boutique" to main stream 4 and 5 star, but I have found that as long as I can get a reasonable rate the InterContinental I...

Booked this hotel using points for a quick trip to watch the Cubs. I was not disappointed!! Although my room was on the small side, it was comfortable and very well decorated. Staff crom the front desk to the bellmen were top notch. Will, the doorman, was especially helpful with helping me find my way to the Red Line and...

Stayed at the Intercontinental for business last week. It's in a great location, walking distance from Navy Pier, Millenium Park and great restaurants. The hotel is clean, but dated. Ceilings are low and air conditioning system is loud, which leaves you with an interesting choice: quiet sleep, but hot or loud and possible lack of sleep. Requested a king room,...

You might feel during the week that you are staying in a suburb but the weekend kills this notion. Hoardes of people are found on this Uber shopping street. I was lucky to be there during the NBA Draft Combine Jr and although I am 6ft I felt like a dwarf in front of those 7-7.5 ft tall basketball players....

The hotel location is the best feature. The rooms are rather dated and could use some attention. The bathroom caulking was in bad need of repair and you could see where the walls were patched (poorly). The king room was tight -- definitely not going to be able to spread out during your stay. I was staying here for a...

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
