Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Visited this hotel for a conference. The proximity to all of the major things you want to see is excellent. Upscale hotel with modern dining options, a 24 hour market, great meeting space and awesome views of the city. The staff is professional and friendly. Only a couple of heads up things...the check in/front desk is up an escalator...it can be a little tricky if you have a ton of luggage or little ones in tow. The second thing is the parking is a little steep!!! Last heads up, the fully stocked snacks and mini fridge are sensor activated...if you pick them up, you bought them. Great room, comfy bed and spectacular views. Go for it...you won't be disappointed. (Pic is view from 6th floor...floor to ceiling windows)

I paid for two queens, asked at check-in to confirm it was queens, was given two doubles. Next day I complained, they gave me a new room, it also had two doubles. Finally, third room had queens. Pain in the butt, waste of time away from my event to resolve, no change in my rate for having the lesser room. Also, pee-stains on toilet seats.

Great hotel that has very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very convenient location. The view overlooking the river was awesome. The room was very nice and spacious. I slept like a rock. The lounge had a great fireplace as well.

Stayed june 2019 for 3 nights. Thur-Sun. This hotel is great. Not a high end luxury hotel, but definitely nice. Best hotel I could find for the price. Customer Service best I’ve had at this type of hotel. Everyone from front desk, to doorman, to housekeeping, to waitstaff, to bartenders were friendly, helpful, positive, responsive, attentive. Hotel was clean. Room was HUGE. (We upgraded to a larger room). Beds comfy. We included breakfast each day in our room fee ($10/person). Big full buffet breakfast. Great! Where else can you get a full breakfast in chicago for $10/day? Bar drinks were delicious. We were on 10th floor. I never once heard the “loud train sound” others have mentioned in their reviews. Hotel was quiet in hallways - lobby always bustling, but rarely even saw guests in halls. Close (5-7min walk) to state/Lake L stop. Very close to a few bus stops. This made using public transport very easy and convenient. Walking distance to Millennium Park and Mich Ave. if you must, it’s a 30min walk to soldier field/museum campus. (But buses run too) I would def. stay here again.
