Great location walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Cleanest hotel I have stayed in since covid. View of construction site not so nice but that is okay as we were not in the room much. Would stay here again.

Hotel's Favorite
While on the frontlines as a nurse I contracted Covid. As a result I am a new diabetic still learning to manage my blood sugar. We arrived at midnight by the next morning around 8am my blood sugar was critically low, 38 to be exact. I went to the front desk where 2 amazing ladies Valada and Victoria were working. They immediately stepped in to help. I am sincerely grateful to them especially Valada. Our entire 3 nights the reception staff was very helpful with food tips, things to see, any questions asked I saw them helping customers even during their rush they were patient. Location- can I just say we were in walking distance to everything downtown and riverfront wise. Easy to catch an Uber if needed. View- we had the riverfront view. Room 1014. View was beautiful and the room is perfect for a girl’s trip. 2 queen beds which were super comfy, plenty of space, double vanities on opposite sides of the bathroom, excellent rain shower. The restaurant was still closed but so many great options literally next door. Corner Street Bakery, Ocean Prime, Morton’s steakhouse and more. Also as a nurse I definitely did the white glove test due to Covid and I must say the room was immaculately clean! When I visit Chicago again this will be my hotel! The pictures are from my riverfront view room.

Since the pandemic started I’ve been working very hard taking care of everyone else to keep them safe... decided to go on a little vacation to restore my soul and must admit that the Royal Sonesta staff really made me feel taken care of!!!.. they completely overwhelmed me with their caring attitude and left me breathless with all the kind things they did for me... when they found out I was a nurse they really expressed gratitude and made all those months hard work worth it... Will be back to see them again one day soon!!!

we stayed 2 nights. checkin was easy. no frills, front desk person couldn't answer questions regarding local dining. no introduction to hotel other than we are going to do construction between 9-4. room was clean and spacious. we got hotel.com room for $90/night. gym was pretty big and had lots of equipment with nice view. best part was location to nearby attractions and fairly priced for area.

Coming from an international traveler, Straight to the point, this was WAY BELOW AVERAGE. DO NOT STAY HERE!! Run!! The views are thee ONLY thing this basic dated subpar hotel has to offer. (We were on the 26th floor). There are no restaurants, no room service, no housekeeping, no rooftop access, no parking, and ZERO FREE in room WiFi or sufficient linen worth the $100 incidental rate charged per night, not to mention the noise levels. They present a warm welcome to take your payment knowing all the filth behind the room doors. Parking is $50 per night down the street around the corner. We stayed less than 4 hours before switching hotels. Save your time. Save your your money. Enjoy your stay elsewhere. Effective 10/16/20. P.S. we tried all resolve before leaving a review but the only thing they offered was a single credit of $30 and advised there was no manager to speak with. I was extremely disappointed in the level of service from this establishment and very much can for see a foreclosure in the future.
