Classic meets cool as Hilton Chicago embarks upon a $150 million renovation in celebration of our 85th birthday. The fresh, new vibe inspired by traditional, design rich elements pulls its inspiration from the hotel’s original architecture and intertwines a dynamic and contemporary spin. With the renovation underway, the hotel has already introduced over 400 new guest rooms, 13 new hospitality suites, a new technologically versatile Grab & Go – SNAX and a new restaurant with private dining space and bar – 720 South Bar & Grill. The new contemporary guestrooms have been cultivated with ornamental lacquer finishes, soft leather and rich, bronze wood detailing accented by a cool color palette of velvet and silk textured accents. Guestroom media capabilities include a 37 inch flat screen television, in room touch concierge panel, HCN Navigator computer and wireless and wired internet access. Following a day exploring Chicago, decompress at the largest Chicago hotel athletic club with running track, take a dip in our indoor pool facility or catch some rays on our sundeck during the spring and summer months.Located on Michigan Avenue in the South Loop, the Hilton Chicago is 1.6 miles to McCormick Place, along the Shuttle Route to McCormick Place and the first stop on the returning route from the convention center. Directly across the street from Grant Park and walking distance to Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, Lake Michigan, Buddy Guy’s Legends, South Loop dining and art galleries, Museum of Contemporary Photography, The “Loop” – Chicago’s Financial district, State Street Shopping, Soldier Field as well as two short “L” stops to Chinatown.

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

I have stayed here before. I had noted that The Fugitive was filmed in here, and I stayed back in late 80s. Now I was in town for the Rock n Roll Chicago running race. This proved to be an excellent location especially given the scorching temperatures. Easy walking access to The Bean, Buckingham Fountain, Willis Tower and the subway. It was convenient and exactly what was needed for a long weekend. Room was as expected; larger than NYC size, but smaller than Toronto. Still it was clean and comfortable. Would recommend for others to use.

Hotel's Favorite
The hotel is gorgeous! From the fountain outside to the lighting to the artwork. The hotel is laid out very nicely. Free wifi in the lobby and eateries on site, no free breakfast though. It became a favorite because my need for a suite was beyond met! 3 rooms combined with 4 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, a large living area with additional bed made the stay more than comfortable. I'm a details guy and the roo. Was clean, set a nice temp and didn't have discolored carpet or furniture and the bathrooms were well kept. The location makes downtown and the outskirts of the city easily accessible. Plenty of walking, shopping and eats. Plus the view of the museum and navy pier just topped it off. The staff were all nice and kind. Julius are the front desk was also very hospitable and informative. This has turned into my favorite hotel after 1 visit and I'll definitely be back!

Nice service, clean hotel and friendly staff. I enjoyed the view of the city of Chicago, and the complimentary drinks that came with the honors program. The lobby is beautiful and all the floor is clean.

We enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel recently, check in was very quick and straight forward, no queues when we arrived. Our room was on 20th floor with lovely views over Lake Michigan, even though your on a high floor you can still hear traffic noise so if your a light sleeper you might prefer to use ear plugs. The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean, we even had 2 bathrooms so that was very helpful as there were 3 of us in the room. There was one evening where the room across the corridor decided they would have a party, the noise of them running up and down the corridor, squealing and banging doors was ridiculous and woke us 3 times. On the 3rd occasion we did go out into the corridor and thankfully security were on there way so guess we weren't the only ones disturbed by selfish guests! Apart from that one incident our stay here was lovely and the hotel is beautiful, we often had a drink in Kitty O'Sheas which is a nice friendly pub and food was nice too. The hotel is in a good location for sight seeing and if you want to venture further the loop train service is only 5 minutes away and very easy to use (a 3 day pass was $20). If we are ever in Chicago again we would definitely stay here again.

This was a fabulous hotel in a fabulous area where we could walk everywhere. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The only negative is you have to pay to store your luggage. This is the first time I have ever had to pay for luggage storage. This higher end hotel should not be charging for luggage storage.
