This is one of my favorite hotels. The service is great and the views from the rooms are even better. My favorite thing is the front desk! Raina is always super helpful! She is such a sweetheart no matter what time I come to check-in. She is always happy to accommodate anything I needed. Will be back.

The hotel was super clean and safe even with COVID. There’s no daily maid service, to minimize exposure from the staff to the patrons and vice versa, which I definitely agree with. But despite this the hotel does a great job accommodating me. Any needs like clean towels or sheets are easily met. Also Tiara at the front desk is incredibly sweet and helpful. Not to mention the location of this hotel is IDEAL. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Chicago.

I had such an amazing stay at this hotel. It’s beautiful, in the best location, and is also extremely safe in regards to COVID. I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Chicago. The rooms are clean, the staff are nice... you won’t regret it. PS. Ask for Tiara. She’s the best and so extremely sweet

My girlfriend and I decided to come back to her childhood hometown in Illinois while indulging in the many beautiful sites that the city of Chicago has to offer for our two-year anniversary. Between these events we decided to stay at the Essex Hotel in downtown Chicago. On our last night staying at the hotel, we wanted to see more of the city and had really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, so we decided to stay on an extra night. Tiara at the front desk was such an amazing host for us, she was able to treat us to an amazing new room that was beyond words beautiful, and exceeded our expectations. I can’t thank her enough for helping make my girlfriend and I last stay here and anniversary more than we could have asked for. Tiara, if you are reading this, thank you thank you thank you for all your help and for making our anniversary one for the books....you’re amazing!

My boyfriend and I came to Chicago for our anniversary trip, and had a 2 night stay booked at Hotel Essex. We decided after the first night, we wanted to extend to another night, and TIARA hooked it up!! She gave us the friendliest service and wanted to make our anniversary extra special by booking us in an upgraded room for the remaining 2 nights—the Skyline King! Top floor, amazing views of the parks, Lake Michigan, and attractions nearby. We felt incredibly special and taken care of under the hospitality of Tiara at Hotel Essex, and would definitely return next time! She was the sweetest!!
