Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Great location, for walking to everything. Rooms were clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Convience store less than a b4 block away, coffee shop on the same block and 4 blocks to public transportation.

Hotel's Favorite
This is a standard Garden Inn, with a quirk. The location is great. The hotel was reasonably priced. The reservation did not have my Hilton status, which was problematic, since I made it through Hilton. Also, the restaurant is not technically part of the hotel, but I still get free breakfast. It was not as much of a buffet, which means that I just can't grab hot food quickly and go. You have to order all food through the waiter.

We were in town for an event at Grant Park. This hotel was in the perfect location to walk to the event, along with many other notable sites (like Willis Tower and “The Bean”) nearby. There were also several places to grab a bite to eat, no matter what your budget looks like. A couple Starbucks, Peet’s, and boutique coffee shops were nearby as well, when the hotel coffee wouldn’t do the trick. It was our first trip to the city and we can’t wait to go back and explore more!

I was in Chicago for a work event and stayed with the hospitable folks at the Hilton North Loop. The staff made this stay extraordinary. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel is located in a most convenient location, near all downtown has to offer.

In Chicago hotel rooms with any size in prime locations downtown seem to come at a premium price but we found a very good rate on a room at the Hilton Garden with a river view on a busy weekend! The Hilton Garden north loop is located within easy walking distance of most of Chicago’s hot spots - the river, Navy Pier, Millennium Park and much more. We were here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. With a room on the 22nd floor with a slight river view and a king size bed you could actually walk around comfortably, a nice bathroom with roomy updated shower we were thrilled to pay right around $200/night. The check in process was easy and we completed most online before arriving, but wished that the digital key would have been available (on the phone is much more convenient than the card keys). There was a pretty long wait to get an elevator when we arrived between 3:30-4 (probably because of hotel cleaning crew finishing up as all elevators seemed to go past the lobby to LL). Breakfast is not normally included, but with hotel status can be an option. With all of the restaurants and coffee shops nearby this would not be a concern to most, and there is a small restaurant in the lobby area which does offer breakfast and dinner - Italian inspired (reviews rave about the pizza). Check in is 4pm and check out is noon so hours are pushed back from usual times at other hotels on both ends. Parking is $64 a day - going rate for that area, but we went with spot hero and found a nearby space for $24 a day. Enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
