Great stay in the Windy City! Due to late booking for a Conference at McCormick Place, I had to stay farther away than desired but this turned out to be a great location in the midst of the Theater District. Will definitely book here again.
We just returned from a terrific two-night stay at the Hampton Inn Majestic. We had a large room with a king and a pull-out couch for our family of four and it was a lot more space than we've typically experienced in a downtown hotel. The high ceilings and enormous windows gave the room an open, airy feel. Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but they made good use of the space they had and provided loads of fresh, fluffy towels. We were in Chicago to sightsee and see the show Hamilton and this hotel is the perfect location for both. You are literally attached to the CIBC Theatre in this hotel and it's a lovely perk to get to use the private side entrance to the theatre to avoid the massive pre-theatre crowds on the sidewalk out front. Additionally, the actors and actresses come out into the alley of the hotel to sign autographs after the show, so it was amazingly fun to have all this going on right outside our hotel, then just take a few steps to head back inside to head upstairs to bed. Another perk was the huge variety of restaurants that are within close walking distance to this hotel: we had our choice of dozens. We received warm, friendly, helpful service from every employee we met, from reception to breakfast to valet. All top notch! The breakfast area is small and was very crowded, but they even made the best of that with funny signs encouraging people to eat before the crowds ("your new friends") showed up. All in all, we found this hotel to be an excellent choice for our Chicago weekend and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends or family.…
We went to see Hamilton and couldn't have asked for a better hotel location. We walked directly from the hotel lobby into the theater lobby. The hotel is in the heart of the Loop district, minutes from the hotel where we ate dinner, the Art Institute and Millennium Park.
We loved the location in the heart of the Theater District. Convenience to restaurants and had a wine bar directly across the street. The building is historic and nicely redone to compliment the old charm.
The staff at the Majestic were awesome. From reservations - directions - recommendations - and service - all were exceptional. The rooms were extremely comfortable and very clean. We would definitely recommend staying at the Majestic Hampton!
