My adult daughters and I enjoyed our stay at Rays. The decor is quirky but it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a heated floor that I wish I had at home. There was free parking in their garage. The staff was very pleasant, accommodating and helpful. The yummy breakfast was made to order. The lemon blueberry pancakes were divine.

Really friendly and welcoming staff and onsite owner. Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent. Even has a covered garage while parking on the street was convenient too. Plenty of cool stuff hanging from the walls and shelves. Definite do over next time we visit Chicago.

We stayed at Ray's while visiting my son in Chicago. The place was amazing - and very eclectic. Ray must be a collector - because the lobby was packed with all sorts of amazing collections. The rooms were cozy but very clean and quiet. We also had a private garage (with a remote opener) that we used to keep our car out of the weather. the price was very reasonable. And the breakfast was fantastic! We ordered off a menu and it was cooked to order. The staff was so friendly and went way above and beyond with every request. We'll go back and look forward to it.

This is the second time I've stayed at Ray's, and it does feel like coming back home. Welcoming, hospitable, and really yummy food -- what's not to like? Nice room with great bathroom as in shower and floor with radiant heating. TV with HBO and good stuff to watch. And the breakfast/brunch is outstanding -- be sure to try the strawberry compote.
