Awesome and quirky B & B. The service was amazing. They went out of their way to make me comfortable and accommodate special requests. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. Even had gluten free bread ☺️ I would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Special thanks to Sam!

We loved everything about this B&B. Friendly, helpful and knowledge able staff, within walking distance to public transit, restaurants and bars, free parking, freshly cooked breakfast at whatever time you choose, clean and comfortable rooms. I will recommend this to everyone I know that is going to Chicago and will stay here again. Only a 20 minute train ride to... More

Greatly enjoyed my overnight stay. Staff was polite and professional. Room was comfortable and clean--all that I could ask for. Had a wonderful breakfast. Hotel has lots of interesting artifacts, collections. Neighborhood appeared safe. Television didn't work properly but that didn't spoil my stay.

We stayed here in 2012 and so when we returned for a visit to Chicago. We walked in to a warm greeting from Ray. I need to say that he chooses amazing people to work here. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. They know a lot about all the antiques and pottery - making your stay more interesting. The rooms... More

This was our 4th time staying here and we still look forward to the wonderful breakfasts, crazy collections, limitless water bottles, comfortable rooms and baths. Employees are cheerful and helpful. Now that our daughter and her husband are moving to China, we will invent reasons to return to Chicago and Ray's!

Recently visited our son who lives in Chicago and decided to stay closer to our son's house so we chose Ray's. Having stayed at Ray's, i can't imagine staying anyplace else in the future. First, the location is perfect and way less congested than downtown. We drive to Chicago from the KC area so it is nice to find convenient... More

Ray's Bucktown Bed and Breakfast isn't like most, after all the rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, including spa baths, the shared area is quirky in a way that is part way between Steptoe's and a museum (you might have to google that one), and the breakfast is more than excellent - it is spectacular! Also there is free... More

Note - There are 4-5 steps to get into Ray's front door. Ray's motto is "this is not your mother's B&B". If you're looking for the "typical" B&B with the Victorian or fancier feel, this is not the place for you. The entire establishment is eclectic & quirky. You could stay there a week and still not see everything that... More

My wife and I were visiting our newest granddaughter and needed a place to stay. We choose Ray's solely on zip code, as we needed to be near my daughter's home. It proved to be a totally lucky choice. We stayed at Ray's for 14 days and felt as if it had become "our home away from home!" Ray and... More

We have stayed at Ray's B & B many times and have never been disappointed. Each room is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Ray and his staff make a point of making you feel at home and go out of their way to help you make you stay in Chicago a meaningful one. The breakfasts are also... More
