Ray's Bucktown Bed and Breakfast isn't like most, after all the rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, including spa baths, the shared area is quirky in a way that is part way between Steptoe's and a museum (you might have to google that one), and the breakfast is more than excellent - it is spectacular! Also there is free... More

Note - There are 4-5 steps to get into Ray's front door. Ray's motto is "this is not your mother's B&B". If you're looking for the "typical" B&B with the Victorian or fancier feel, this is not the place for you. The entire establishment is eclectic & quirky. You could stay there a week and still not see everything that... More

My wife and I were visiting our newest granddaughter and needed a place to stay. We choose Ray's solely on zip code, as we needed to be near my daughter's home. It proved to be a totally lucky choice. We stayed at Ray's for 14 days and felt as if it had become "our home away from home!" Ray and... More

We have stayed at Ray's B & B many times and have never been disappointed. Each room is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Ray and his staff make a point of making you feel at home and go out of their way to help you make you stay in Chicago a meaningful one. The breakfasts are also... More

My daughter, son and I stayed at Ray’s Bed and Breakfast in Bucktown recently and enjoyed it very much. My daughter, a San Francisco based expressive arts therapist, wrote the following for her newsletter: “Upon a recent trip to Chicago I was lucky to stay at Ray's Bed and Breakfast in Bucktown which is home to tree-lined residential neighborhoods, hip... We stayed at Ray's for two nights while visiting Chicago on our tour across the USA! The rooms were very comfortable, clean and reasonable. The breakfast (made to order) was incredible, and lots of other refreshments were available in the kitchen for guests. Ray and the staff were great and made everyone feel very welcome. There are some great restaurants... More

We stayed here to visit my son and grandsons. We rode the train and it cost about $15.00 to go to this location. Breakfast was great, plenty of space to entertain my grandsons, 6 months and 10 years old. The oldest stayed with us and enjoyed his stay. They were treated very special by Ray and his staff. The room... More

From first arrival to check out, I felt welcomed and safe at Ray's Bucktown B&B. Just a short walk from either the bus stop or Blue - Western - Train station, Ray's B&B was comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast and reception ladies were fabulous. The breakfast itself was more than I could ask for! Many options to choose from, whether... More

We visited Chicago over the fourth of July weekend. Stayed at Rays and had a great time. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! The staff could not have been any more helpful and friendly. The location was great and easy to get to anything we wanted to do.
