Well, we had a very busy week moving our youngest daughter into her apartment and we booked Rays because it was within walking distance and boy, are we glad we did! Ray's staff went above and beyond to help us get out every morning with a full stomach, ready to tackle whatever we had to that day.... Highly recommend the place, the staff and the knowledge that Ray has about Chicago!!!!

We visited with two small children. Ray and his staff were incredibly accommodating and made us feel at home. They have a play area set up for kids under the stairs and my kids loved it! The breakfast was awesome and the room was comfortable. I highly recommend Ray’s for traveling families.

An oasis of lovely people, relaxing & friendly atmosphere, wonderful rooms, delightful common spaces with interesting things to look at and read, sweet location in a pleasant area with parks - shops - restaurants a short walk away, excellent breakfast (and snacks). Everything is well thought through, and in addition to being super nice, Ray & co. are helpful and accommodating. I loved it so much that I extended my stay ... twice. My dog wants to ditch me and live here. Breakfast tip: try the tofu-veggie scramble.

First and foremost Ray's Bucktown B&B is great because of Ray and his staff. Ray and his assistant Ashley made us feel at home. Ray met us at the front door and made sure we were taken care of when we checked in. Actually, Ray was on the phone with us hours before we arrived and made sure we knew what to do when we pulled up out front. Ray even let us have one of the off street parking spots in a garage behind the house. GREAT hospitality. I'd say great customer service... but it's more than that. Thanks Ray!! The bed in the Chickadee room was comfy, the room was clean, and the house was very quiet. We slept great both nights we stayed there. The breakfast at Ray's is fantastic. I look forward to trying more of the daily specials on future visits. Ray's Bucktown B&B is chock full of interesting eclectic collections and artwork that makes the home both an art gallery and a museum... and a fun place to stay. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and peaceful - we took long walks late each evening. I love Chicago neighborhoods like Bucktown, each one is it's own small town. The neighborhood has an abundance of places to eat & drink. We took advantage of the "606" trail that is nearby to commute to and from our son's house. You can use the trail to walk to restaurants along its route or to go for a long run or bike ride. This was our first stay at Ray's Bucktown B&B. We loved our visit and will be back. Hopefully soon.

We loved our 2 night stay at Rays! I would go back in a heartbeat. So very interesting, and we had garage parking with a remote, unheard of in Chicago. The breakfast itself is worth the stay! Staff are wonderful. 😍
