Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location. Shuttle was helpful. Walked to several nearby stores and restaurants. Only onsite parking is by valet which is pricey but convenient as street parking is very scarce.

Stayed over the weekend, Fri-Sunday. Great location if you have business or loved ones at the ucmc free shuttle really helps. Free breakfast is ok, but it's free so you really can't complain. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance and I mean right across the street and around the corner. The king bed rooms are nice and...

I stayed here because of some appointments at U of C Hospital. It's a lovely hotel with all the amenities to make guests comfortable and pampered. Excellent breakfast. Staff was just wonderful. The hotel gives a hefty discount to U of C patients. Also, the neighborhood is beautiful with some really good restaurants. We enjoyed Piccolo Mondo and Pizza Capri.

Great location, rooms, service and valet parking. Walk to everything including restaurants, train to downtown Chicago and Whole Foods around the corner. Shuttle service to anywhere local. Valet expensive but well worth it. Love the lobby with fireplace and lots of comfy seating.

Staying in Hyde Park

Neighborhood Profile
Hyde Park
If you want to get a feel for quintessential South Side Chicago, you have to make a stop in Hyde Park, one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods. This historic area is home to two of the city’s most prominent cultural institutions, the Museum of Science and Industry and the University of Chicago. A stroll here will bring you past vintage and grand hotels converted into luxury apartment buildings; peaceful gardens, parks and green spaces; and ivy-adorned museums and other cultural institutions that speak to the city’s diversity and architectural beauty.
