Hotel was clean - and the staff was very kind. Great experience. Check in was very quick and my room was ready very early , which I really appreciated. I had several packages delivered and there were no issues. More so, I was desperate to find a printer and the front desk printed 13 pages in color without hesitation. May seem like a minuscule thing but after a long day at work their kindness and willingness to help went above and beyond for me. From doorman , to housekeeping everyone had a smile on their face and greeted me with professionalism and kindness. The hotel industry is struggling with labor shortages and you would never know it at Godfrey. Very impressed.
From start to finish, my wife and I were truly overwhelmed by Sales Manager, Jose Arauz and the staff at The Godfrey Hotel. Jose’s communication was relentless - every question was answered in a timely manner. And he did not have an answer for us, he made sure to find it. He truly went above and beyond every step of the way - from assigning room blocks and gift bag coordination to even offering suggestions that quite honestly made our lives and special day that much easier. We knew we were in good hands!! Our out of town guests had an amazing time on the rooftop and restaurant and truly felt loved by every detail that all started from the organization and effort put into our special weekend from Jose and the staff. The hotel was nice and in a good location. The staff was ok, I've had better customer service. The hotel doesn't provide house keeping sevices during your stay, they don't have a micowaves in the room or downstairs to warm your food, and they don't have a area to purchase drinks and snakcs. It was a very average hotel with a high price. I wouldn't stay here again.
Stayed for the National Restaurant Association tradeshow. It was a ten minute walk to the tradeshow shuttle bus. Very nice hotel with a hip vibe that attracts lots of locals who are looking for an upscale night out
The only good thing about this hotel is the bed, extremely comfortable. the shower was hot and had good water pressure, but not sure how hot it would be if showering later in the morning. NO restaurant for roomservice.
Friendly staff, let us borrow umbrellas for the day. Also accommodated our request for some additional check out time when our travel changed. Very clean and comfortable. This is my new go-to for Chicago!
The location and atmosphere are great. when checking in we were advised that the restaurant on location ( that also offered breakfast ) had stopped working with them. With a room reservation hotel does charge Urban fee $ 15.00 that provides amongst other things access to fitness center and 2 bottles of water(make sure to ask if that is not offered at check in). Hotel will also put an additional $ 100.00 hold per night on credit card upon check in, charge will be reversed after check out).
Room 1107 sucks. no view, minimal natural lighting, straight-back desk chair only, A/C directly onto your head while in the bed. Almost no room to move about the bed area but lots of wasted space in the bath area.
Nice hotel, cant beat the location. The bar was dyno mite! Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were so big and spacious! Included a fridge and safe, Lighting in room needs to be better. Decent beds but can be better.
Stayed for 5 days on business with 3 other associates. We had great service and food, rooms were modern with great, open layout. Rooftop bar was great as well as the restaurant adjacent the lobby - excellent cocktails and super cute bartenders!!
