No AC in room, over 90 in the room. When we returned our car was no where to be found. After 2 hours the manager finally found it in an offsite lot that they have. It took another 30 minutes for other cars to be moved to get it out. During this 2 hours from 2-4 AM I was instructed to walk to 2 different lots to look for my car. I am a single woman who was traveling alone with 3 children. So unsafe. No apology from management either.

This room is far from clean. I’m not sure how it got 4.5 stars on trip advisor, I’m very disappointed that I can’t trust those reviews anymore. This room was over $200 a night! I except it to be clean!! I don’t even want to use the bathroom in this place. Even the drapes are filthy! Thank goodness this is only for one night. I always wipe everything down with a Clorox wipe when I get to hotels, some of things I wiped down in this room, like the phone and air conditioner unit, left the wipe black, DISGUSTING! Definitely do not recommend this place.

Disgusting! Just checked in. No where else to go. The check in “office” smelled like someone took a dump in there. Receptionist was very unprofessional. They wanted my car key in case they “needed to move my car”! Absolutely not! She said to park facing the bank then & thank goodness we found a spot. If she would’ve said that we couldn’t stay without the key, I would’ve gladly duvet the hour home & left my car at the airport. Bathroom door barely closes because of the toilet being right there. Vent hanging off the wall. I’m tempted to sleep in my car tonight. I really don’t want to leave it here now. May talk to the hubs about just driving to the airport in the morning & parking there. If all other local hotels weren’t booked I would leave. Ugh. So gross.

My two co-workers and I reserved three 1-queen bed rooms in Carlton Inn Midway through Travelocity in February 22, 2023 for a night stay. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk person asked my credit card information and signature for the room keys. When we entered the rooms, we realized, the rooms were dirty and there were bugs. Then, we immediately returned to the office and told the front desk person about the conditions of the rooms. Further, we asked for the cancelation and returned the room keys. The front desk person asked us to contact Travelocity for the cancelation and reimbursement. Then, right after, I called Travelocity and got the cancellation confirmation. In brief, we did not stay at Carlton Inn Midway on that night. But, several weeks later, I saw charges of 3x $115.16 by Carlton Inn Midway on my credit card. I disputed the charges with my credit card company. Apparently, Carlton Inn Midway sent a letter to my credit card company showing a fake information indicating a stay from February 22, 2023 evening to February 23, 2023 evening even if we did not stay. As a result, my dispute was not accepted. I even called Travelocity and explained the situation. They contacted Carlton Inn Midway, but were not able to help me with the charges. Horrible motel!! Due to storms, our connecting flight got cancelled, all hotel rooms full, of the motels, this had 1 room available they said. This was after midnight that we were stranded, so no choices available. First room we were given had big food crumbs on the sheet - 2nd room had dirty floor not vacuumed, shower handle kept falling off, shower water never drained, room phone didn’t work, couldn’t get tv to turn off using remote and had to unplug, price charged $150 - when listed online it was $88.00. When questioned about the high rate, it was a Friday and all places were charging top rates due to many flights being cancelled, supply and demand!!!! Horrible robbery!

Used this hotel for park, sleep, fly Team here was awesome. Friendly and courteous. Drivers were prompt and helpful Hotel and van are dated, but clean and safe. Car was in a lit, safe lot. Great value for an early Midway flight

Okay…so. We thought we found a great deal. Like a GREAT deal. The website seemed super legit, the reviews were good, nothing flagged us as being of particularly poor quality. Boy oh boy…I did not think about everything that could go wrong. Because every part of it did. Let’s start with the check-in process. Upon arrival, our reservation was nowhere to be found. We had the confirmation email, we had the initial deposit charged, it didn’t make sense. We waited a solid 10 minutes at the front desk while she searched until she said “oh yeah, I found your reservation” like we weren’t waiting with literal bated breath for an answer. We laughed it off later, and just hoped we were actually on the shuttle schedule for the next (very early) morning after filling out the paperwork & confirming in person. Spoiler: we were not. (If you want to know about room quality, just…everything is stale cigarettes. And maybe don’t plan on showering there.) Different woman in the morning is willing to drive us right away, so that’s fine. We leave our keys with her and she says when we come back, the car will be pulled to the front. Upon arriving back at MDW, our “15-20 minutes” estimation kept being pushed back every 5-10 minutes until a full hour went by. I guess it was truck trouble & the guy was very apologetic, but I was NOT a fan of periodically calling to seek out that information, rather than being encouraged to, maybe, take a taxi or something and get reimbursed upon arrival. Oh well. We were annoyed, but car trouble happens & at least we were on our way. And then we arrived…and they couldn’t find our key. I think this is when we started to get truly frustrated because not a single step of this process went as planned. We were actually invited to help them look through the keys to find ours. Turns out, our key was taped to the wrong scrap of paper. We leave tired, annoyed, and very concerned for the other person whose key is loose somewhere in the main office. I would like to point out that although the logistics were absolutely lacking, the people were pretty nice & definitely apologetic at the end. I don’t know that we’ll be staying here again. If you do choose to…maybe just be prepared for a number of things to go not quite right.…

Do not stay at this hotel. I was charged $179,43 for a reservation I had cancelled in the allotted time of "free cancelation" When the credit card disputed the claim for me, someone at the Inn told them I hadn't cancelled the reservation. But I had talked to a lady at the front desk of the hotel and she said she would cancel it for me.

Nothing exceptional but the park sleep fly was just what we needed and the most cost effective we could find. The breakfast was so so. The van old and seats a little lumpy but overall, we would do it again. Very friendly people and the airport is like 5-10 min away. Our car was safe and just how we left it. The room was basic but good.

This was the third or fourth time we have stayed here the night before a flight from Midway. Every time it has been a positive experience. My wife and I travel to Chicago to get a non stop flight. This stay however showed us helpful the staff here really is. First I forgot my jacket at home because of the mild weather, the staff directed me to stores that would be open and near by where I bought a hoodie. The next morning at the airport my wife realized she had left here sunglasses in the room. A call to the hotel and when we arrived 10 days later the first thing our shuttle driver did was give us the glasses. Finally being in a rush to start the 3 hour drive home I left my backpack in the parking lot. I called the hotel they had found it and would ship it to me if I provided a Fedex label.
