The hotel is very close to the concert event and therefore was wild and crazy - this was fun for us and for our kids. However, there were NO roll away beds, NO extra pillows or blankets: perhaps we should have called ahead, knowing we...More
Not the Hard Rock Experience I was expected. This was the first time we have stayed at a Hard Rock Hotel, as we were excited to book it in the "Windy City". What a disappointment, I have stayed at better 2 and 3 stars hotels...More
I stayed here as part of a bachelorette weekend trip. The lobby is modern and attractive, and check in went smoothly. We arrived early, but did not have to wait too long before a room for us was ready. One of the rooms I was...More
Staff were present and that’s about it. The bar and restaurant are dead and disappointing. Rooms may have been 4 star a few years ago, but they need updating. The bathroom had mold on the shower as some photos depict, and the rooms themselves aren’t...More
The Hard Rock Hotel was the perfect location to all the sights, shops and restaurants in Chicago. Walking distance to just about everything. The rooms were very nice. The price was reasonable. Staff was always friendly. Would definitely stay here again, however I heard they...More
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
the most iconic landmarks in the city. A stunning skyline coupled with cultural attractions like the Art Institute of Chicago present a Downtown where work and play peacefully coexist.

Our commenters are exactly right. If you make your way North on Michigan Avenue to Upper Wacker, you'll then turn right (heading East, towards the Lake) and proceed up another block. 5 minute walk all in.
