#14 of 215 hotels in Chicago
Travelers' Choice
ACME Hotel, voted the #1 Hotel in Chicago in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2019 Readers Choice Awards, is Chicago’s original approachable boutique hotel. Located smack dab center, and close to all things Chicago, ACME is the perfect spot for comings and goings, whether for business or play. If you have an eye for design, and dig art, music, and a creative vibe, check us out! ACME is all about making sure your stay reflects YOU, and we want you to have an experience you won’t soon forget. We’ve got The Berkshire Room just off our lobby, one of Chicago’s top-notch cocktail lounges where you’ll find actual locals! Not to mention Bunny Slope Bar, Chicago’s only hot tub bar (not a typo), and WestTown Bakery for sweets and savories. We also offer FREE piping hot Morning Joe® delivery every morning . . . and Free, ridiculously fast WIFI throughout. (None of that, “free in the lobby only” stuff). Also, all rooms boast a state-of-the-art Bowers & Wilkins Hi Fi so you can stream your own jam. Each room comes with its own Amazon Alexa too - so let her do some of the heavy lifting. ACME is what we consider approachable - in more ways than one. The fact is, we want your experience at our downtown Chicago hotel to blow your mind, not your budget.

This was not your everyday hotel. It had a vibe that most other hotels do not have. Loved the location. I really liked that it had hardwood floors instead of the normal hotel carpet. The shower was my favorite.

The location was great and theme was interesting. However, we never got the coffee they promised in the morning and I had requested a good room for our anniversary, instead we were placed next to the noisy elevators, staring at a brick wall outside and the walls are so poorly insulated that you can hear everything. And I MEAN everything.

Stayed in July 2021 with family (adult children). Fun, but very helpful staff. Great location (2 min walk to Grand Red Line CTA stop). Lots of inexpensive places to eat nearby. Rooms were decent sized for a "boutique" hotel. Would absolutely stay again.

Everything from staff to hotel to the location were great. We wish we could have stayed longer. This was a great location and walkable to everywhere and it’s also very close to public transport. The hotel was clean and the staff were all great.

Allie at the front desk was so accommodating throughout our stay. She was friendly and very helpful. Our room was very large and very comfortable. I was not happy with not having our room cleaned once throughout our 3 night stay. Our garbage piled up in both trash cans and we ran out of towels and body wash. The location is ideal if you want to be downtown.

Room Tip: I would choose a room higher up due to the bar right next door.
