Friendly, excellent location and very comfortable. All staff was very approachable and made our stay memorable. The rooms are comfortable and the WiFi is very good and easy to access. The rooftop makes for a memorable experience too.
That the Pendry is luxurious is obvious from the moment one enters the interior of this exquisite landmark building. The rooms, views, furnishings ... luxurious indeed. It, however, is the Pendry staff that makes staying here wonderful. The door and bell staff are the most gracious, kind, and helpful we have ever experienced. The reception, room service, and food staff were attentive, responsive, and friendly. All in all our stay was quite enjoyable.
Everyone on staff went out of their way to make sure everything I ordered arrived very fast. Everyone was kind and warm. I loved the in room espresso maker. I loved having enough glasses and waters always stocked. My room was big and got cold as it was freezing in Chicago and the room would not heat up enough so it was a little chillier than is comfortable but I’d return over and over to this hotel. From my window, a lovely view.
The hotel was absolutely wonderful. First, we arrived very early for our reservation, (like 10 o’clock in the morning). Joel found us a room, and not just any room but a room that fit exactly the room that we had ordered. I felt like he went above and beyond to make sure everything it was ready. The second staff member that really deserves a shout out at this hotel is Anis!! He was our server in the hotel bar after we had dinner. His attention to detail, and making sure that everything we ordered was absolutely up to par was perfectly executed! In fact, his attention to detail was so exquisite that we went into the bar a second night. This is the kind of service you really want at a hotel of this caliber!
I stay frequently at The Pendry Chicago. Rooms are large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff is excellent from the front desk to housekeeping to the bartenders. The attached restaurant, Venteux, is fast becoming one of my favorites in Chicago. Truly one of the finest hotels in Chicago!
Visited this hotel for a long weekend celebrating our anniversary. The location was perfect, the staff exceptional and we were even surprised with champagne and macaroons. We could walk to Millennium Park, Navy Pier and Millennium station. All the staff were professional and accommodating. Great value !
Superb hotel in a great location of Chicago. Historic art-deco bldg with great service. Room was well setup, bed very comfy. Rooftop bar was an added bonus with spectacular views of downtown Chicago. I plan to return soon.
Great location! Beautiful lobby in historic building. Room was quiet, bed and bedding was wonderful. All my interactions with staff were positive, from the front desk to housekeeping to the bar, which I visited for the complementary drink at check-in. Very happy with my first Pendry stay. I look forward to returning!
Enjoyed my stay at the Pendry. Very central location. Easily accessible to all you could want. Lovely room, albeit a bit small for my taste, with excellent touches. Beautiful marble table in the room, with comfortable seating. Carpet is wool or wool blend which is unheard of in hotels these days. Comfortable bed, and the view from my room allowed for a glimpse of the lake. Room service was daily and excellent. Gym was good and uncrowded. There is easy access to the airport at the Washington Station on the blue line. It costs only a few dollars to get there if you don't mind public transportation. Gage restaurant is close by and worth a visit. All Chicago theaters including the Joffrey and Lyric are close by. Building in remarkable for it's Art Deco architecture. Overall quite nice. Definitely 4.5 stars. Enjoy.…
Where to start?! No heat in room upon arrival, they couldnt fix it, moved to a lesser quality room, room service that arrived late when complimentary wine was sent, no opener provided, door wouldnt lock, took door lock apart, closet door and furniture is disrepair. With all the above occurring in 24hrs , very frustrating and disappointing. The staff were nice, polite and professional. There is simply al ack of efficiency and you dont get what you pay for. Chris in bell services was great. I was provided a 2 night refund for 1 of the 2 rooms i booked with family but am still waiting almost 1 month later to receive that refund facilitated by Pendry.
