We've checked into The Peninsula today & have had excellent service thus far. The young lady at the front desk who helped check us in was kind enough to upgrade our room because we wanted two queen beds instead of one since we had changes to our reservation. They've been more than accommodating on scheduling dinner reservations and blow outs.... More

This hotel is a world class luxury property. It offers fine amenities for those with the most discerning taste. If you are looking for a luxurious retreat, this hotel will not disappoint. My favorite home away from home when I travel to Chicago. And the property has been remodeled recently. Absolutely stunning.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The service was amazing with super friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous bedrooms which were very spacious and comfortable. If you leave anything out with a cable eg hair tongs or laptop you come back to the cord wrapped up in a silver ribbon! Lovely pool and small cabana area outside. Well equipped gym with lots... This was our first time visiting Chicago (which is now one of my favourite cities!) and were fortunate enough to stay in The Peninsula Hotel - we were on a multi destination trip had stayed in a 5* hotels in Las Vegas and subsequently Boston, neither of which came anywhere close to the standard, service, hospitality and general "quality" of... We live 10 minutes from the hotel but love to come here for weekends of the spa, pampering and relaxation. We travel internationally and it's up there with the best. Rooms are brand new-smart technology everywhere. Beds are so comfortable you feel you're home. If you can do it, go for a suite. The bathrooms are massive and top grade.

Beautifully designed and technologically modern, the Peninsula looks extraordinary. Although the concierge was somewhat less engaged than we would've liked (we favor lots of planning when we travel), they were responsive (I suspect they were a bit overwhelmed by Labor Day). The painstaking detail behind breathtaking design touches combined with perfectly integrated technology in the room was wonderful and unique.... More

Truly one of the nicest hotels I've been to for business purposes. Rooms are spacious, excessively well appointed with abundant marble in the bathrooms and premium furnishings throughout. This makes some 5 star hotels look like 3 star hotels. Beds are fantastic. Look no further.

I hadn't been to Peninsula Chicago. I had been staying at Trump Chicago in recent years, I think that's a great hotel except for one thing -- its name. So I went elsewhere. Had been to Langham earlier this year, but didn't like it at all. Trump and Peninsula much better in my opinion, which most people usually think is... More

Staying in Magnificent Mile

Neighborhood Profile
Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.
