Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale. Some of the city’s most iconic buildings like the Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center and other architectural marvels define the magnificence of this neighborhood.

We were here over Thanksgiving, and it was the first Peninsula that we stayed. We were blown away by how nice it was and how good the service was. Rooms were very pretty. Location is great. I would definitely come back.

Upon late arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and the architecture of the building. Our rooms were quite large and pleasant to stay in. The entire facility was pristine. Very clean. The only downside being the pool which was also filled with kids. My family couldn’t go down there because of them.

We were asked "are you sure your staying with us?" When we pulled in in a mini van . I guess when you go to that hotel they only treat you good when you drive a fancy car . Everyone is very rude and make you feel extremely unwelcomed . We paid alot of money for a view of some construction and bad service . The ritz carlton across the street is way better . Also , if you like your privacy dont go here they open your door and peep their head in if you dont open when they knock . The room is okay but not worth it at all doesnt even have a balcony .

We loved the lobby and amenities. The spa area is incredible and the rooms are well appointed. It is well positioned for walking just about anywhere. The service in the hotel restaurant was our only minor complaint.
