I think for the overall money, just not worth the value to stay here. Pros- -Soft fluffy towels -Security guy was friendly and helped unlock my wallet when safe wouldn't work. Cons- -Their tag line is whatever/wherever -except the most basic item of gym socks. Where the lady told me to go to Walgreens and buy a pair. Seriously? -Bed... More

This is a good spot for a couple to spend a weekend in the city. The location is perfect for walking to several must-sees in Chicago. The lobby has somewhat of a club feel at night and offers several spots for seating, which helps to offset the tiny space in the rooms. Contemporary cabinets give the sleeping quarters a sleek... Arrived about 12:35am to a dimly lit entrance. Lobby bar obscures any view of check in. So, after navigating a poorly lit bar I finally found check in at the far back end of the lobby. Desk clerk was polite and professional but not engaging. Found my way to my room. Corridors are rather narrow indicative of the old building... More

This past weekend, friends and I stayed two nights in The W. We had a great stay and were very comfortable. The bar on the first floor has some good food and a decent selection of drinks. There is no free Wifi like most hotels, unless you're in the lobby. Otherwise I believe it was $15 a night. The location... More

We were in town for a wedding & this was the hotel that was selected. It is located within walking distance of many restaurants & the financial center. Our room was small, but others in our group had received upgrades to much larger rooms. For one night it was ok, but for an extended stay the room would not have... More

The W City Center is an older hotel and it shows. Although the rooms feature modern technology, the hallways and rooms simply feel dated. The bathroom was fine although the water pressure was lacking in the shower. The hotel is fine. It is not special or fun like other hotels in the W Hotel chains. The lobby is small and... More

We stayed at the W to attend a wedding. I contacted the concierge to see what type of tours were available for the limited time we had on a Saturday afternoon. Eden Bernal, concierge, immediately responded. She even responded to my emails on her day off as she was afraid we were going to get sold out of the tour... More

Friendly and easy check in. Housekeeping good. Easy check out. Small bathroom and difficult to actually use. They have a fitness center but ran outside. The lobby is really a party bar central...all good but know what you are signing up for.

They had amazing customer service. I left my kindle in my room and called, expecting for it not to be found. They found it and called me back within minutes. The staff is really friendly, efficient, and just helpful. Great experience. Omar Pereda in particular was RIDICULOUSLY helpful! :)

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a good starting point to sample the city's energy and flavor. This central business district boasts Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of the most iconic landmarks in the city.
