Don’t stay here. Nice lobby but it’s a facade. The hallways are dated and there is no AC currently above the 6th floor. Originally reserved a Spectacular King room on the 17th floor but there was no AC so we requested another room and was given a show box of a room called a Wonderful King and let me say there is nothing wonderful about it. The room was also hot and took 24 hours to cool down. It was unbearable.

Excellent location in downtown Chicago - easy to walk anywhere along with access to public transportation. Gorgeous lobby, great professional and friendly service. Rooms were large and comfortable with large bed, lounge chair, desk and a great tv. It’s a winner!

Very nice hotel, in a quiet area on the weekends. Staff at hotel were extremely nice and helpful. King size bed room was smaller than expected, but adequate for our stay. Bathroom was clean and nice size.

Horrible service. Brooke Blyth the Guest Services manager was unwilling to help with a situation I had where the Marriott Bonvoy app mistakenly made a duplicate reservation of the reservation I had made. This reservation was made hours before our arrival while on the road into Chicago. So when I arrived at 5:30am the lady checking me in said I’m sorry we had to charge you as a no show for your second reservation. I responded “what second reservation” and she said “yes looks like there’s a second duplicate reservation”. I responded “that’s obviously a mistake, can you fix that issue and delete that second reservation”. She said “no, and recommended me to call the Bonvoy folks for further help”. When I called the Bonvoy folks they said the Manager on site at the hotel would be able to pardon the duplicate reservation. So in short Brooke (the Guest Services Manager) can help and pardon the erroneous reservation she just chooses not too. All of this lack of service to a Marriott rewards member since 2012 with Gold Elite status. Talk about not taking care of their customers. Strongly considering never using Marriott Hotels after this experience. I doubt I would’ve had this issue at a Hilton property.

I have frequented Chicago 1000 times and I always try to stay in a different area. This hotel is located walking distance from the train station. Walking into the hotel Took my breath away because I wasn’t expecting such a grand entranceway. I was able to do an early checkin and I was referred to as Ms. Washington the whole conversation. A key is needed to utilize the elevator which I like that safety precaution. My room was exactly as pictured . I love the clean look of all white. My bathroom was spotless. Clean in every aspect. I would say it was on the small side but it was just me so that was fine. Directly next door is a 24 hour Mcdonalds window and a Starbucks in walking distance. I heard the L ride past one time and it wasn’t overly loud. Also there were some historical pieces that were left in the details of the hotel which I loved. Overall I would stay here again.
