Most excellent location, helpful and friendly staff, clean anf quiet room. Just some minutes away from River walk, Union station, Millennium Park etc. Even if check in system was down, they managed to check me in rather fast. Choose itfor the location and price and can recommend to everyone
The hotel staff were really nice. Their system was down but managed to check us in really quickly anyway. The room and the bathroom is very small, but like other people in the reviews have said, it is great for a one night stay or if you're not going to spend much time there. The room was clean and they have empty waters you can fill in pretty much every floor.
I was booked into this hotel by a local institution with which I was consulting, so I can't speak to the cost of the room. I agree with other reviewers that the room was clean, and service was quite friendly. It's located near Grant Park, home to several excellent museums, which has lovely views of Lake Michigan and is an excellent location for walking or jogging, and is close to shopping areas along State Street. It's easy to reach from the airports via the CTA light rail system. The restaurant associated with the hotel is an English-style pub with numerous reasonably priced options, and unlike many other restaurants in the area, it was open on Sunday night. It's open quite late every day, until past midnight. However, it doesn't open for breakfast until 8 AM, which is rather late for anyone who has appointments at 9 AM or earlier. Fortunately, there are what appear to be a hundred coffee shops that open early within a few blocks. As others have noted, the room was small, with a double, not queen-sized, bed, but it was entirely adequate for a lone traveler. I could hear activity in nearby rooms. I was surprised by the absence of a refrigerator or microwave, but there were a hair dryer and Keurig-style coffee maker. The room lacked an iron and ironing board, but these were quickly provided on request. Overall, I had a satisfactory experience and would stay here again if I needed to stay in central Chicago.…
The location is good, but the hotel is rather basic and the rooms are small and cramped. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place is reasonably clean. I didn’t use the restaurant so I can’t vouch for its quality. There is free internet and it’s high speed.
I always stay here when I visit Chicago! I love that it is close to the L and so many great sites. It’s clean and everything about check in and check out are easy. Sometimes I take the blue line to the city from Ohare if I arrive during rush hour and this hotel is right by the blue line. The water bottle filling stations are appreciated on a hot day! My only wish was a mini fridge for my dinner leftovers but other than that- perfect experience!
Stayed at this clean hotel with a fun layout for two nights. It's conveniently located within the Loop and close to the L and Art Institute alike, the bed was comfortable with quality linens, the room was clean, and the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. It's a pretty good value for central Chicago. The only thing that was missing is a mini-fridge in the rooms to allow guests to self-cater.
The room was okay. perfect size for a one night stay. I booked this room through expedia. I accidentally canceled it (which had nothing to do with the hotel fault) it turned out to be a nonrefundable booking, but the front desk person was willing to work and communicate with the agent and myself. I was able to stay here thank goodness for the front desk person who was so helpful and kind! The staff was super friendly. However the room itself was a bit outdated. I didn't mind as it was a one night stay. I do have to say the walls are a bit thin i could hear people grabbing ice ect. The location was perfect though. I also didn't like the parking situation, but at least the ramp had security or an office in the ramp. Other than that it wasn't a terrible place to stay. The staff were very professional and helpful.…
my stay there was awful. The photographs show brightly rooms but the rooms are old and dark. the manager told me that there are two different types of rooms. pay attention!! We decided go to another hotel and the manager recognize us the money.
Nice hotel conveniently located. Helpful staff and clean property. Plastic bottles available on each floor with refillable water station which was nice. Separate restaurant and bar connected to lobby and multiple restaurants short walking distance.
Not the best experience. When we got there we noticed our queen room was instead 2 twin beds, our lamp wasn’t working properly, our toilet clogged, you can hear people through the wall and how loud everything was. The bathroom door was see through so you could see someone using the toliet. Big privacy issue. Room smelled like R. Kelly sheets and the furniture looked like it hasn’t been dusted/cleaned in a long time. Just a big no. Staff was just okay.
