This hotel was perfection. The rooms were roomy and beautiful. The service was excellent. The gym had peloton and tonal !!! The location was great, attached to Nordstrom. I will never stay anywhere else in Chicago again. (If the hotel reads this just change your t-paper brand. That’s the only thing that was great. lol)

Hotel's Favorite
The Gwen is a charming hotel with a great location. The rooms were well appointed. The breakfast was good and Meredith was friendly and always remembered our order from the previous day. Housekeeping (Anna) was also very friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in some “luxury” hotels that I don’t consider truly luxury, but The Gwen is truly luxury. Will stay here again.

Loved the tipsy tea with Kayla! She gave us the best experience. She was sweet and personable and she made my sister’s birthday special! The food was delicious and a great variety. Great tea options and the bottomless Prosecco was obviously a bonus :)

The espresso martini, mayan mule, cheese & charcuterie board, bourbon brownie, vanilla ice cream and hazelnut mousse were fantastic and Michael Ortiz was the best waiter at the Upstairs at the Gwen!!!

Michael Ortiz was an amazing and attentive server!! He was very personable, fun, and made us feel like we were family which made our night so much more enjoyable. The food roasted turkey sandwich was delightful The atmosphere was loud but not overwhelming.
