Amazing amenities all around - from the time of check in to check out the service was 10/10. The spa, the rooms, linens and service were all great. The spa is one of the most beautiful in Chicago that I've been to. We stayed in a King Suite and it was so spacious and the views were unreal.
Beautiful hotel and lovely amenities. The lobby is small and discreet, and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The bed is heavenly and the soaking tub a great way to unwind after a long day being a tourist in Chicago. They don’t have coffee makers in the room, instead they have complimentary coffee and tea service through in room dinning. Housekeeping team is top notch! The room was thoroughly clean and the daily service done to perfection. My only complain is that I had to leave :)
Loved this hotel. Service was excellent. The smell when you walk into the lobby takes your breath away. They sell the scent in the spa which is onsite. We are at the restaurant on the property for dinner. The fish and lobster pasta was divine. The drinks were even awesome. We had a nightcap at the lounge in the hotel. We reserved a king suite with a private balcony. Gym and spa onsite.
We were graciously upgraded to a beautiful suite with a fireplace and terrace. The hotel is lovely, and all the staff from the front desk, to the restaurant, the spa, and the front door were kind and helpful. We were able to enjoy sightseeing, dining, and shopping in walking distance from the Waldorf Astoria. The first night we walked to the Oak Street Beach and then ordered a take-out dinner from the hotel restaurant to eat on our balcony. We also enjoyed the pool and the jetted-spa area. My husband's favorite part of the experience was the Nespresso machine and complimentary espresso pods delivered to our room. We'd highly recommend this hotel for a weekend get-away
The waldorf is the perfect spot to go when it comes to hotels, all the luxury shopping is near you, they have one of the greatest spas when it comes to hotels, and there in house resteraunts are amazing!
Excellent service and amenities! All the staff were very helpful and the room was wonderful. The hotel restaurants were excellent and there’s a speakeasy hidden on the second floor. The spa and fitness center were huge and had everything you’d need. Definitely lived up to five star rating!
The Waldorf Astoria Chicago offers service that is rarely achieved. The details matter to the staff and they are genuinely focused on making sure you have a fantastic stay. It's pricey, but for the level of accommodations, it seems like a bargain by the time you leave.
My impression of the hotel is mixed. The room was lovely, the bathroom was gorgeous and comfortable. I loved the soaker tub and the soap is really special....best hotel soap ever. However, I found the public spaces a bit stuffy and old fashioned....not ugly, just not special. The outside of the hotel should be gorgeous...that's what attracted me to it.....but dead trees in the planter by the front door and half dead Impatiens in the circle were so detracting and so unnecessary. Chicago gardens and plantings are among the best I have seen anywhere so I can't imagine that no one has noticed how pathetic they are right in front of the hotel. I also did not find the concierge service very helpful. Fortunately, we had some knowledgeable Uber drivers who gave us wonderful suggestions and we had a great time exporing those. Chicago might be my favorite US city and I am a New Yorker so that's saying something. Chicagoans can be very proud of their parks, architecture and all public spaces....I was blown away.…
Stayed 6 nights, actually had to extend our stay, which is never a bad thing. This was our 3rd time staying at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago (I think). Our room was beautiful and immaculate as always. Everyone working on site that we encountered was pleasant, professional, friendly and helpful. My family and I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Chicago. It's our go to spot. Extra shout out to Donnie for not only taking care of extending our stay but helping with our boatload of luggage at check out. Can't wait to return.
Our stay at the Waldorf Astoria was one of the best hotel experiences. Everyone was so pleasant and went beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The food at the Brasserie was absolutely delicious. I would recommend the French toast for breakfast and for dinner, prawns for appetizer and striped bass for the entree. Even the other guests were very nice. Perhaps they were feeling good because they were experiencing such great service as well. We are already looking forward to our next stay.
