This is honestly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Possibly the best all around. Lots of hotels get one or two or several things right; the Waldorf Chicago ticks all the boxes. I've stayed at the Waldorf properties in NYC, London, Edinburgh, and now Chicago; this is my

Dear Greg D, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago to celebrate your wife's birthday as well as Valentines Day. I am glad you were able to enjoy early access to your accommodations to really get your celebration off to a wonderful start. Thank you for specifically mentioning how well Benjamin and Marte did to ensure you had a wonderful stay and allowed us the opportunity to exceed your expectations every step along the way; they will certainly be recognized for making your stay exceptional. It is my absolute pleasure to provide you with the welcoming bottle of wine - that's the absolute least I may do to enhance your experience. I look forward to be able to welcome you back soon.

This was not the first time in this hotel for us and will definitely not be the last! Excellent from all possible angles. Location, services, in-room dining, cleaniness, friendliness of stuff and the list goes on.

The King jr suite was luxurious and relaxing—although a short stay (3 nights), we felt as recharged as if we had taken a longer vacation. The staff was incredibly accommodating (and we learned that gratuities are not accepted—another factor that added to the feeling of being

Hello britty123, and thank you for your question. While we have not had a full renovation recently, we are constantly striving to maintain and upkeep our hotel to that of a "newly renovated" property. Our lobby bar is a cafe that serves drinks during the lunch and dinner hour however our hotel bar is on the 3rd floor, where our main restaurant is. I hope that helps to answer some of your questions, please let me know if I may assist further.
