I stayed here with my 14 year old daughter for a quick 3 day trip. Room was small but very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was the perfect home base for exploring downtown Chicago! We’ll definitely stay here again on our next trip.
For the location, this was a pretty good deal. The room isn't luxurious by any means but it was spotless, comfortable, and well-thought-out. I especially loved their pillows. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were glad we picked this place.
The location cannot be beat- it’s right on the riverfront within walking distance to river tours, navy pier, millennium park. My room was okay for a solo business traveler, though the shower becomes a little slippery when wet and there was no iron or hair dryer. I mainly deducted 2 stars because of the elevator issues- how are there 30+ floors in this hotel but only one working elevator?? During peak times you could wait for the elevator up to 15 minutes. I heard from other people who’ve stayed here before that this elevator has been broken for at least 2 years.
Picked this hotel due to what I guessed was good location, and was so pleased with it! Located off Michigan Ave and across from the river. Great access to the L and walkable to Lake Michigan, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile, and the river cruises. The staff was so nice and helpful - especially Ronnie. He was so helpful confirming our reservation and getting us checked in early. We didn’t bring our dog, but they are dog friendly! They had a bottled water system that was so convenient and kept us hydrated on a very warm weekend. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size. We were on a higher floor, with only 3 rooms to the floor. Great views, but as some have mentioned, one of the elevators to the higher floors was out of service, so it took longer for us to get up and down from our room than our friends staying on a lower floor. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes, though there were times that the elevator was full by the time we got to the floors in the teens. We were told we could call the front desk if we waited too long and they would help out. To avoid the elevator issue, request a floor below 11. Would definitely stay here again!…
I stayed over a July weekend and one of the two elevators was out of service. This was a major problem with twenty floors of guests all trying to use one elevator. There were long waits in the lobby and on the floors at busy times of day. Staff did their best, including one clerk riding the elevator at busy times to speed things up. My room was almost as small as a New York hotel room, but comfortable and everything worked well. Water pressure was OK and hot water plentiful. On a hot weekend, the room AC was effective, but windows on the 20th floor didn't open. All around it was OK but pretty basic. No restaurant on site.
Yet to see such a comfortable, uniquely designed hotel with beautiful rooms and well mannered staff who are always there to help you out. Central location with free laundry, 24 hrs opened lobby with complimentary coffee and above all filtered water bottles stations at each floor. Highly recommended for all travelers/visitors. 8.5/10
I have never been more satisfied at a hotel. The staff is amazing, the proximity of the hotel to the bus stops and train stations was in perfect walking distance. The view from my room was looking over the River walk and it was gorgeous! I’m definitely going to be coming back to Club Quarters.
You can't beat this hotel for the value and location. Rooms are quiet, beds are comfortable. Some rooms come with fridge and micro. Second floor has free espresso machine. Elevator lobbies have water bottle refill stations. Overall rooms are a little small and dated, but clean, quiet and steps from everything.
We had a 2 night stay to begin our Midwest trip and can’t wait to return for 4 nights to finish up our trip next week. Walkable to so many eateries, sights, the subway and lots of shopping if that’s your thing. And right across the river from the architecture boat tours!
I am pretty easy to please and theres not too many places I would say I would not stay again but this is one of them. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. The building itself is in a beautiful, convenient location across from the river and the entryway lobby is nice. They have bottle water stations with bottles to fill up which was also nice. BUT…the rooms are extremely small. At least the room we stayed in. The lady at the front desk stated she upgraded us but I don’t see how that was possible…It reminded us about the size of a cruise ship room. Bathroom, again, very small. Room itself is a mixture between outdated and modernized. And I had my worst hotel experience here. The elevators were broken and we were up on very high floors 20+. A couple we met said they had been waiting for an elevator for 45 minutes... and we ended up waiting 45 minutes also. I ended up cramming into one but had to leave my fiancee behind so I could get us checked out. The elevator stopped at EVERY floor on the way down just to open up to a bunch of very angry hotel guests who couldn’t get downstairs. I didnt see my fiancee for another half hour. Worst experience we’ve ever had and it was enough for us to not go back.…
