Overall experience was good. Very close to all Chicago destinations. Room was shockingly small, but stayed only one night. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again, but not for an extend period of time.
Our view was off the Trump tower! It filled up our whole window! Need I say more? Rooms were clean, staff was awesome. But the view ruined it for us! If that's not an issue for you, then you'll be fine. But Valentine's weekend, the last thing I want to think about is that person!
Due to current Covid situation, there are few options for hotel stays in the Chicago Loop. This hotel exceeds my expectations of a 3star hotel. The hotel staff were exceptional, the property has a good location (for loop, streeterville/mag mile, and access to public transport. Clean rooms, lots of power outlets at desk/workstation and bedside, good Wifi, Smart TVs, chilled/purified refillable water stations, and yoga mats and humidifiers upon request. Normally I don't use hotel room coffee makers but the Keurig was spotless and enjoyed my Kona coffee in the room. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but located near many, including a bakery next door serving breakfasts and lunches. I intend to return
Great location. I booked a “productive” room so I could get a lot of work done, which is why I decided in this hotel! It exceeded my expectations! I felt safe with the temperature check and appreciated employees wearing masks. I also like how you need you key to enter the building and the elevators. It’s a nice level of added security! My room was the perfect size for me and like I said I really just needed to get some work done and I had a great view of the river, which I wasn’t expecting! I believe the woman who checked me in was named Sarah, if I’m mistaken I’m so sorry! But she was really helpful and friendly and explained everything nicely. I’ll be back again!
NEVER will I stay there again I wish my phone was charged when I arrived because a video is worth a thousand words. There was s*** on the bathroom wall, next to the tissue, a brown stain in the bed once you pull the covers back, some white s***smeared on the desk, headboard and mirror. After wiping down with Clorox wipes it was filthy afterwards(toilet, desk and light fixtures) each used a different wipe to clean. The Kleenex was used it was only one left and tht was balled up in the box. We couldn't sleep there so the minute we knew it was safe to return home we ran. Just horrible especially being on wacker. I'll forever continue to stay at The Wit and Ivory Boutique. We are in a PANDEMIC thee least thing to be worried about when trusting and paying is tht those you're doing business with fulfill their advertising. Room looked more standard than superior, it was small old and dainty. I can accept the outdated modern look thats not my msin concern, it was the distasteful, unclean, not stocked worse experience I've ever had at downtown hotel. …
