We had a field view room and everything was spectacular. the hotel is Walking distance to the nearest Red line station and is only about 3 blocks from Boystown. The restaurants were closed while we visited due to COVID but the spaces looked very nice.
I booked a room at the Hotel Zachary for a COVID friendly getaway weekend and it was more than I could have ever expected! As a Marriott member I used my suite night credit and was unexpectedly upgraded to the Marquee Suite, which is probably the most fantastic hotel room I have ever stayed in. The view was absolutely amazing and the room was beautifully decorated. The HZ team even left a special welcome treat and note for us which made the stay feel so personal and special. Everything was extremely clean throughout the entire hotel and we didn't see any other guests the duration of our stay. It was obvious that extra care had been taken to accommodate for COVID safety. All of the staff members at the hotel were great, including Adam, who checked us in and out of our stay. The front desk team also provided a bunch of information on local restaurants where delivery drivers were specially COVID tested in order to deliver straight to your hotel room. I am local to the area and can confirm that all the recommended restaurants were great picks. I did not order from room service, but was shocked at the reasonable pricing when reading over the menu, especially considering most other hotels do not offer room service currently. The bar is currently closed, but looked beautiful. I will definitely come back for a drink once it reopens because it is the perfect hidden spot to get a nice cocktail in the heart of Wrigley. Another Marriott member perk was a free breakfast and coffee from Westtown Bakery which was the perfect ending to an exceptional stay. Overall I had an amazing staycation at the Hotel Zachary and would definitely recommend anyone spend a night there to take a break from being stuck at home.…
A 3 week stay and zero complaints! My husband and I kept having to extend our stay and everyone was very accommodating. Grace, the front desk manager, treated us like family and we started literally referring to the hotel at the end of our day as "let's go home!" Grace worked magic again and again to meet our every need. The rest of the front desk staff is also very helpful and welcoming. There is even a well trained adorable little dog named Pita that greets guests. Our stay was the end of September into October and the lobby restaurant was closed but we could still enjoy relaxing there with an unobstructed view of Wrigley. Anthony at West End bakery on the street level made us excellent coffee (complementary) every morning and he is personable and efficient! The valet Tuisant is super helpful and friendly and looks great in his vintage converse low tops. The hotel is very clean and we felt the proper health precautions were taken to keep guests and staff healthy. The beds are very comfortable and our room was large and attractively decorated in a low key baseball theme. Fantastic floor to ceiling windows offered an awesome view of Wrigley and Clark street was still bustling despite Covid. All the non hotel restaurants were open and offer outdoor heated seating.…
Stayed here for the first time during the 2020 Wildcard series. Modern rooms with huge windows. Free coffee from the lobby coffee shop was a nice perk and Adam and Grace at the front desk were extremely accommodating and made me feel welcomed.
The Hotel Zachary is an amazing hotel. Whether you're in town for a Cubs game or planning a wedding in the hotel, the staff really knows how to take care of you. We decided to host our wedding at Hotel Zachary during COVID. We planned so far in advance and thought a fall wedding would be outside of the pandemic. Boy were we wrong! BUT! Hotel Zachary far exceeded my expectations. We were able to have our wedding on the patio and the attention to detail was superb. Kristal and her team were amazing - including the HR Manager - who served the food. Everyone stepped up and made our day amazing when COVID threatened to close it. The hotel grounds are beautiful, convenient to the red-line and CTA, and easily walkable to several restaurants. I definitely recommend Hotel Zachary. The grounds are beautiful, but the staff keep us coming back time after time.…
