During the COVID pandemic, we expected to have a very clean room with increased cleaning protocols and that was not the case. There was a dust layer on the Keurig as well as the charging station. There was a mystery brown stain on the wall by the bed. I would not recommend this hotel at all. The location was the only saving grace of this trip.

No itemized bill explaining charges. $215 stated when I checked in. I assumed that included all those taxes and fees that make hotels so expensive. My credit card was charged $300. Refrigerator froze food thereby ruining yogurt, one of our staples. Water bottle froze solid overnight. Lost TV reception entirely at some times during out stay.

I apologize for the issues you faced regarding billing and your refrigerator. Your feedback on the refrigerator have been shared with our maintenance department so that they may be addressed. The $300 is an authorization placed on your card at check-in to cover the full amount of your stay plus $50 over for incidentals. I see that no incidentals were charged, so the remainder was released back to your card at check-out and may take your bank 7-10 days to process.

Wonderful hotel. Friendly and very helpful front desk staff. Room was clean, nice layout. I got the lowest rate room but it was perfect for us. Corner room, so several windows. 9th floor, so pretty quiet. Fun view at night! Room 934. Ate fabulous breakfast a few blocks away, Meli Cafe. Decent prices (for the city) , the breakfast bowl was amazing. Within walking distance to the lake area and Art Institute. I'd stay here again!

The room we received was dingy. Not astatically pleasing at all. It had 2 very large Tv's on the wall and that was it. The pull out couch was stained and dirty looking. The bed and the pull out were not comfortable at all. It was like sleeping on the hard floor with bars in your back. When you are there sight seeing and walking around 90% of the time you want a comfortable bed to sleep in and recharge. The bathroom was not a 4 star bathroom. We did not have any housekeeping the entire time we were there. We bagged up all our own garbage and had piles of towels in the small bathroom because they didn't have housekeeping available. The entire hotel smelled like marijuana. I understand it is legal there but I had an 8 year old and a 3 year old traveling with me and the smell was so over whelming. If they are going to allow smoking in the hotel then they should have air filter or air purifiers in the hotel so your non smoking guests can enjoy themselves too.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I am so sorry to read that you were dissatisfied with your stay. First, I want to assure you that we are indeed a non-smoking hotel and we do not tolerate smoking in the building; however, we must first be made aware of it so that we can respond quickly to it. Also, due to the current global situation, we are still taking extra precautions to keep our guests and our staff safe, which is why housekeeping does not enter any occupied rooms at this time. We look forward to the time when this will no longer be the case. Please know that all of these issues have been shared with the appropriate departments so that we can address them and ensure they do not happen again. We hope you'll give us another chance if you return to the area.
