This was a much needed one-night respite for me and my wife after a stressful year. We had a beautiful two double bed executive suite. Room was clean. Beautiful view of the city, river and lake. Great service despite lockdown. Everyone was as nice and as helpful as possible. Two points to make it even better. Offer the full food menu from Palms for in-room dinning. In-room dinning menu was limited. More items available at Palms. Also, the walk-in shower near the entryway had a bad stain on the floor. I normally wouldn’t mind and I’m sure the shower was clean, but it gave the appearance that was not clean.

My coworker and I are nurses currently assigned at McCormick Place on the Covid-19 unit. After a long shift we decided to stay downtown and not drive back to the suburbs. We called ahead to check in. Asked if we can get a room on a higher floor with a view, I did mention we're nurses. Upon walking into our room we were pleasantly surprised that they upgraded us to a gorgeous suite on the 31st floor. Very clean, huge, 2 bathroom suite with a view. Great service and friendly staff.

This hotel has ambiance, comfort, appeal, and indoor curb appeal all rolled into one! Walking into this hotel was a surprise! The foyer area is amazing with a close indoor restaurant and a mini store right next to the desk for snacks and amenities. The check in process was easy enough, but be sure to listen closely to the directions on how to operate the elevators. It was a bit tricky and I had to go back to the desk for instructions again. The open floor plans of the hallway is amazing. I really liked the offset rooms that seemed to be in an area that I didn't expect them to be able to put a room. I wish that I could have peeked inside;-) The room door has an electronic lock AND a doorbell!!! No more having to listen to the neighbor's visitors pounding on the door! Nice touch! The entrance into the rooms are amazing! Long walk in area with plenty of lighting! The first thing I noticed was the view of the huge windows overlooking the city of Chicago and the river! Nice ambiance if you arrive at night (see the pictures). The beds were very comfortable and fluffy! The desk/work area/dining table was also of a unique shape that gave me plenty of room to so what I needed to do (eat, work, etc). The amenities in the room are also plentiful! The bathroom was compact, but the counter area at the sink was nice! It provided plenty of space to put my toiletries and other personal items. I did manage to try out their restaurant downstairs! The food was very good and cooked to perfection (chicken salad with dessert). Overall, my only regret was not being able to stay more than a day! This is definitely a great hotel for a long or short stay, but if you want to unwind after a long day, make it more than a day! I'd highly recommend this hotel to all of my friends! It's definitely my comfort hotel of the year!!!

Well located, nice interiors, very nice rooms. Called for a late checkout and they didn’t think a second to extend the courtesy. It’s 1 block to Millenium Park and Michigan Avenue and You can reach it through the Riverwalk. If you are taking an Uber you should request it for ‘The Palm’ (the hotel restaurant), and not for ‘Swisshotel’. Otherwise drivers get lost. Great value.

This hotel was perfect for us. They have very spacious accommodations. The interiors are gorgeous. The floor to ceiling windows are nice. The staff are super available and super friendly and eager to help.. There is a store in the lobby that carries anything you would need in a pinch, and a fraction lower than most other hotel stores. Dunkin’ Donuts is downstairs, and a fabulous steakhouse “Palm” is attached to the hotel. (Try the filet mignonette and au-gratin potatoes) I’d like to highlight a few people in particular that were exceptional during our week here. Cliff, with the security detail, helped me to track down a guest who stole my door dash order and he did a very thourough investigation into locating the perpetrator and making me feel like it mattered to him. I cant Believe someone would put so much energy into something like that. He went above and beyond. Thanks Cliff. That said, the hotel is very secure. And I wouldn’t worry about things being stolen. It was a rogue thief. And the hotel is very secure. Pam, at the palm restaurant, was very sweet. Thanks Pam Rochelle at he front desk was a rockstar in terms of getting me everything I needed swiftly and professional. I don’t remember everyone’s name, but each and every encounter with a staff member was a pleasure. A beautiful experience!! Thanks Swissotel!
