My hubby and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Blake. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was very nice, large, and recently renovated. Loved the modern decor, and that wallpaper! The bed was very comfy too. The room had a good sized mini-fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker. We didn’t have a room with a view, but that’s ok. The hotel is convenient to Grant Park and the main museums and museum campus. The Willis Tower is only a few blocks away and can be seen from the hotel. The Miracle Mile and awesome shopping was only a 30 minute walk. Sometimes we would Uber there and walk back, or vice versa. The restaurant attached to the hotel, Meli, was very good, and we ate breakfast there 3 times during our 4 day stay. For Chicago deep dish pizza, Lou Malnati’s was a couple blocks away and was fantastic. There is a 7-11 on the corner and a drugstore around the block. Like I said, very conveniently located. COVID-19 stuff: We were asked to check our temperatures when ever we returned to the hotel by using a touch-less floor-standing face-scanner thingie. Line up your face, and it blinks green, gives your temp, good to go. No biggie. Everyone was wearing masks and keeping appropriate physical distance. Hand sanitizer stations were located in numerous places. We did not need or request housekeeping services during our stay. Only complaint, we were on the 7th floor, which is the top floor on one end of the building. The A/C on the roof would clatter and bang and was noisy. Not all the time, but it was most noticeable at night. The temp in the room was fine. And another reviewer was correct, you can definitely hear city noise such as sirens. Overall, we had a lovely trip, and would definitely stay here again.

First stay at Hotel Blake and it was perfect! Stayed two nights in a remodeled 11th floor room which had a very comfortable King bed and large bathroom. Super convenient to the Lasalle metro station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. “Showtime” completely lived up to his Trip Advisor review reputation... Kind, funny and willing to offer dining suggestions! Will definitely make Hotel Blake my choice for my next visit.

A tough review. Very much liked everything about the hotel except for the horrendous Wifi. Have not experienced hotel Wifi that was as slow and untrustworthy in such a long time.. probably 15 years or so. Don't expect to be returning to the hotel because of that. Hotel Blake- please get your act together and fix the issue. No decent hotel these days should have weak and spotty Wifi like you do.

Let me tell you about "The Hotel Blake" previously named as the 19th century Morton Building. Erected in the late 18th century, has maintained it's uniqueness and Chicago style of Old meet New. The room I stayed in had high ceilings and windows to match. I was taken away by being able to actually lay down on the window sill. As soon as you walk in you feel the grandeur of the room which will eventually rub off on you. The wonderful staff I met, Howard, Tim and Kenny just to name a few couldn't be more responsive and helpful with all your wants and needs. Now, we can't have a National Registered Historic place like The Hotel Blake without having some wonderful cuisine from Meli Cafe. Delectable and Memorable. For a safe and well respectful of social distancing, touch of charm and Grandeur. The Hotel Blake is the place.

Mr. Showtime, the hotel's concierge made our stay so very memorable! He is so very helpful, fun, knowledgeable and friendly. He directed us to well known Chicago favorites. His energy is contagious. He is a great reason for us to make this a regular stop during our stay in downtown Chicago. Thanks a bunch Mr. Showtime for such quality service with excellence! You are an asset to this place.
