It was our first time in Chicago. While doing some research to decide where would be staying, I found some pictures of Hotel Blake. The actual look, feel and vibrance of the building in person pictures just don't do it justice. The staff members where warm, welcoming, informative and very accommodating. The rich dark colors of the walls and the pops bright colors from the furniture makes this a visually pleasing experience. The bedroom.....what can I say, between the coziness of the bed, the rich colors and the sheer size of the room made it hard for us to leave. The modern lamps, huge bathroom and jack and jill sink really makes the room truly a luxurious experience. The building has a cute little cafe called Meli next door. You can access the cafe from the hotels lounge area. Although, the cafe is only open from 7 am- 3 pm there a good amount of places to eat surrounding the hotel. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this experience was. When we do come back to "The Windy City" we will definetly stay at Hotel Blake!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Blake. It was clean, centrally located, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the design was modern while tying into the hotel's history. We were able to walk to several attractions. And Gino's East is just across the street!

The room was huge and bathroom had a double sink. It was also very clean. There was free tea and coffee available in the reception area daily before 11am. Lovely staff (especially Daze on reception). Definitely great value for money and would recommend.

I have stayed here twice and my wife has stayed 4 times. It is a nice clean safe place. I felt safe in this location. Of course I would not venture on any of the less busy streets after dark. There are places to eat not only at the hotel but nearby. The L stops not far from the hotel and there is bus service not far away. The restaurant/bar closes, I think, at 3:00 at least when we were there. The food is OK. We like to try different places and foods so we only ate on meal there on this trip. The staff was helpful and friendly. The valet parking only people were also helpful and friendly. I have a personal problem with the high price of parking when a guest at the hotel. However, welcome to the big city, all parking is expensive. So live with it. LOL The hotel is on a busy street so there is traffic noise and sirens but either we got used to it quickly or they were not very loud. They did not bother our sleep.

I drove to Chicago to renew my passport because I was traveling out of the country in a few days. Hotel Blake is, hands down, the best place to stay for the price if you're coming for this reason or any other that brings you to the South Loop. I had to travel in between meetings and my timing was not amazing for that reason. They let me check in and go to my room at 9:30 the morning I arrived. They also let me stay in the room until 1 PM the next day when I checked out. Rooms are much larger than typical and seem to be recently updated. There's a cute cafe attached to the hotel that has an excellent steak salad that I ended up having twice it was so good. They're also walking distance to many restaurants, attractions and amenities. The best part for me is they are just two blocks from the passport office and, even though it was a cold, snowy/slushy day, the walk was short enough I didn't suffer much even having to go there twice. I strongly recommend Hotel Blake.

This hotel is really wonderful! Superb property in a heritage building, which is located in a great part of Chicago, with lovely staff. I stayed in a king suite and it was huge! An actual hallway, closet, and full size bathroom! Everything was clean and well-appointed. The bathroom in particular is really nice - super clean and nice bath products. I had room for luggage, a big desk, and the tv and bed were huge too! Of course this is expected in a king, but this one feels quite luxurious to me. Great bed too. I also loved their lighting and huge floor to ceiling windows. The hotel is lovely and clean, furnishings are really nice and the lobby smells like Christmas- an added touch! The staff are lovely! Really kind and helpful and happy to have a chat, which is something I really like when travelling. Lobby has a few seating areas including nice couches surrounded by bookshelves. You have to walk a little further to lots of food options, but of course there’s Dunkin, Starbucks (pick up only), 7/11 near by. Quick walk to Millenium Park and there is a train station nearby. There is a cafe next to the hotel, I believe you can order from there. I have stayed on the Mag Mile too, and staying in the Loop area was something different. Glad I chose to do it. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room was clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly. The location is close to the subway. We were also able to walk to popular shopping areas. There is a diner or bagel shop very close for breakfast in the morning. We would stay here again when we visit Chicago.
