Staypineapple (previously the Burnham) is a delightful place to stay. I think I gave it a less than glowing review the first time I stayed last year, but I’ve had nothing but comfortable stays since then, and now it’s my home away from home when I visit Chicago. It’s perfectly located for my purposes which are Joffrey Ballet and Goodman Theater. The building is architecturally significant with many gorgeous details still intact. The rooms are lovely (the bathrobes are wonderful) and the staff is friendly and attentive. They always greet you at check in with something free—cookies, a choice from the snack cart or a drink in the bar. That’s a nice touch. The reopening of the Atwood Cafe in the lobby makes the hotel perfect for me. It’s a cozy, friendly place to get a drink or a nice meal. If you like a smaller, boutique hotel that’s loaded with personality, then this is the place for you too.…
Staypineapple Hotel is The Best place to stay in Chicago! Best Hotel for comfort, staff and location! Some iconic views too! Great host services , a wonderful restaurant, Atwood makes it more special. We loved our stay. We will be back for sure! L.
Perfect location. Perfect staff. Perfect room. Perfect bed. Perfect bedlinnen. Perfect check in. Perfect amenities. Perfect pineapple theme. Perfect check out. Perfect bike. Perfect friendliness. Perfect.
We stayed at the Staypineapple hotel between April 29th and May 5th, in the Millennium park view king suite. The room was wonderful, very spacious with a fantastic view of the Millennium part. When we checked in the room was too dark but we got another lamp very quickly- thank you for that! The cleaning service was perfect and the front desk crew was extremely accommodating Alfred, from the restaurant, always received us with a smile and answered any question we had about tours and Chicago restaurants. The hotel restaurant doesn’t have a big variety but the food is good. The hotel’s location is the best part, so easy to navigate to bus stations, trains, restaurants, shopping, etc.. Thank you to the crew and management, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend all our friends to stay there too, and of course, should we come back-we would 100% stay at Staypineapple again…
We really enjoyed our stay at the Staypineapple Chicago. The place is historic and cute. It felt very clean. The staff was very nice from start to finish. We loved that they provided free water bottles and $10 per room to get snacks every day. The cookies were really good upon check in. The bed was so comfy!!!! It felt very clean. The location was also fantastic and walkable to many tourist attractions. We would stay here again! TV has casting for watching your streaming apps. Rooms are small but it’s historic and large city so expected!
My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Staypineapple while visiting Chicago for the first time. I wanted a hotel that was centrally located and had wanted to stay at a Staypineapple hotel. It was everything that we could have hoped for. Very centrally located. On State Street across from Macy's (Marshall Fields) and within walking distance to Magnificent Mile and Art Institute of Chicago. Check-in was handled virtual (via my phone) and we spent no time at the front desk. Room was small but well within standard size for a big city. Loved the pineapple pillow and the stuffed husky that decorated our room. Bathroom was well lit. Check out was just as easy. Front desk called us a cab to get to Union Station. All in all, a solid choice when in Chicago.
The last time we visited we stayed on the 11th floor which was fantastic! But, this time we stayed on the 3rd floor ... what a difference. The floor wasn't as nice, the room didn't have a great view. The coffee maker was dirty, the vent on the ceiling was discolored with something black, the stuffed animal had some dried food on it, the bathtub faucet was loose from the wall. So disappointed in this room and the cleanliness of it. This was the VERY opposite of the time we stayed on the 11th floor. However, the front desk staff are VERY nice and we love the location of the hotel and how beautiful it is.
This is unique boutique hotel experience. The theme of the pineapples was super fun down to the stuffed animal in room, themed coffee cups, pineapple shaped cookies and yellow robes. The service was attentive, the room was clean, bed was comfortable. They provided you with $10 to spend at the snack bar and free water! The hotel is a restored historic building that kept many of the historic and charming features like the original heavy wooden doors, and real metal keys. It was also centrally located. Would highly recommend taking a chance on this new boutique hotel.
Booked this hotel through British Airways, we wanted to stay central city centre for a couple of nights before catching the California Zephyr. The hotel is extremely easy to get to from O’Hare airport by catching the CTA BLUE line and jumping off at the Washington stop. The hotel is clean and comfortable and full of Character, all the staff we encountered were very helpful and pleasant. The beds are extremely comfortable and our room offered an awesome view of the city from the 12th floor. Very little noise from outside given the hotels location and no noise from within the hotel made for a decent two night stay. The hotel is conveniently located in the downtown loop and nothing is too far away. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.
Just returned from a three night stay. This is a really good hotel in a perfect location for exploring central Chicago (we walked everywhere we wanted to go). The room was clean and comfortable and all the staff we encountered were kind and helpful. For the price it is just about perfect!
