We got an excellent service with Chris. We really enjoyed our stay! We will come back with pleasure. We were well served and a room with a city view was offered to us. We really appreciate everything that was done for us. We thanks everybody for the service.
I stayed at this hotel on 8/30/21 for one night. I arrived at 8:00pm and checked out at 6:30am. I did not spend much time here but the staff was really impressive from check-in, at weber grill, and check-out. The staff went out of their way to assist me. I had lots of questions since this was my first visit to this location and I really did appreciate them all for taking the time to explain and show me different things around the hotel. But, I would like to call out Richard Garling. Not only did he give me advise on how to catch a cab, this gentleman walked around from the front desk, went outside with me, and stepped into the street to flag a cab down that was a block away! Once the cab arrived, he placed my luggage in the back of the cab and told the cab driver where I was going. Now only if he would have paid the fair as well. LOL. Just kidding. Thank you Mr. Garling for going over and beyond the call of duty! It is very much appreciated. The room was clean. The hot water did not take long to get hot, and it was super hot! Be careful with the hot water. The refrigerator in the room worked very well. My drinks were cold and my leftovers from Weber Grill had a little frost on the take out container. Weber Grill - is located next to hotel. There is a door in the lobby that connects the two. So no need to go outside. The female and male hosts on 8/30/21 were great. I enjoyed talking with them while I waited from my takeout. Even though it was close to closing, I wasn't rushed and they the female host provided great conversation. She was very well versed over the menu and she had just started 4 days earlier. But her picks were delicious. Thank you! There is also a pantry in the lobby were you can buy drinks and snacks. Much thanks for the front desk clerk that checked me in and showed me how to use the self check-out machine.…
Hotel was clean and the staff was accommodating and helpful. They gave us early check-in.The hotel was ideal for central location! I would recommend this hotel to family, friends! Stay here for a good time!
Hotel with a great location at the center of Chicago. Restaurants and bars steps away. Very friendly and professional staff. Good value for money. I was able to Early check-in, and the staff made it very easy. Breakfast is available, small shop at reception - very convenient
My daughter and I stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Perfect amount of space for the two of us. The mini refrigerator and microwave in the room was very convenient. Front desk staff was super friendly and accommodating. Check-in was fast and Jaileen was helpful and kind. The area is conveniently located right next to the red line and plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again on future trips.
Checked in at Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile, Jose and Christopher from front desk were very friendly and helped us out very quickly and kept up good conversation. Lovely customer service!
I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. By far the worst experience I’ve had. The service is non-existent. They don’t provide house keeping unless asked to do so. It took 30 mins for them to answer the phone, kept placing me on hold and finally was able to place the request with Hector and was told someone will be there first thing in the morning. No body showed up! I called again at 2 pm and they said someone will be there today they leave at 5 pm. 4:30 pm rolled around and no one showed up. When I called the reception desk again they kept placing the phone on hold again. I was very frustrated at this point and went to the front desk and requested a manager. After patiently waiting the woman I was referred to said she was not the manager. So I went back to waiting in the que finally got someone named Jaileen who was extremely rude and she placed the blame on Hector, the manager from the night before. She said “Hector never put in a request so we’ll see if house keeping can come.” I find that hard to believe as Hector was the only competent individual working there. I pressed for the request to be taken care of that day as I’d already been waiting and she said ok “Wanda is on her way” I went back to the room and no one was there, waited a while and finally an hour later they showed up for the service. I stayed 5 night, requesting house keeping service one day was more than a reasonable request and shouldn’t have been this difficult! Don’t place calls on hold for 30 minutes, don’t tell a guest who is already upset to keep waiting and refer them to “managers” who aren’t managers. And don’t play the blame game it’s not important who’s fault it is it’s definitely not mine so coordinate with your staff and provide adequate service! That’s all any guest wants! Additionally, I’ve had hotel staff barge into my room unannounced 3 times. I had the dead bolt on, so they couldn’t fully enter but it was scary and highly unprofessional. Lastly, the bathroom is dated and smells like sewage and the water doesn’t drain in the tub so you are standing in a puddle the whole time you shower. I like to keep my room at a nice 70 and every time I would come back the temperature was 74 and hot and muggy. Don’t stay there are plenty of other hotels! If you are looking for friendly and competent staff that can ensure simple request such as house keeping service are fulfilled in a timely manner this is DEFINITELY NOT the place to be.…
I come to Chicago every summer, and this is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Reasonable prices for such a busy time, and kind staff. Jose made my check in process a breeze! Will definitely be coming back
Jose Was great at checking us in. Great service and very nice guy! He made sure we felt welcomed and was very effective at it. He also told us about the area, which was very helpful. Highly recommend this place !
The room was not clean, even after being told I couldn't check in because it wasn't ready - come back in an hour. The floor was not vacuumed and the shower had somebody else's hair. There is NO communication regarding room service on the weekends (which doesn't happen unless you request it 24-hours in advance). There are no information books in the room and the front desk was too busy on their phones to tell you anything.
