We stayed just 1 night ahead of a morning safari and, after a couple of previous nights in a rather indifferent guesthouse, were very glad of the relative luxury at this hotel. Good sizeable rooms, great pool, nice food, very helpful and friendly staff. Definitely recommend it.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. This is the most expensive hotel in Udawalawe - very close to the National Park however I don’t believe the quality of the property and the facilities justify the price. Definitely not my definition of 5 star. The rooms are average at best and the air conditioning was so loud we had to turn it off overnight to sleep. The ambience in the restaurant is awful (I felt like we were eating in a hospital cafeteria) and several dishes on the menu were unavailable. The second night, we requested dinner by the pool, took our own Bluetooth speaker and created a better dining experience for ourselves (I’d suggest the property utilizes this space for dining and entertaining more often as it’a a very nice area). A great view of the surrounding plains can be seen from the rooftop, but there aren’t any lifts. We had our driver with us and at check in he was informed there was no accommodation for him so he had to find alternative lodging. When we questioned this at reception, we were told the hotel does not provide driver accommodation. Subsequently, in speaking with another couple we found out there was in fact driver accommodation however it was not available for ours as we’d booked through a third party travel website. Not impressed about being blatantly lied to by the staff. Generally though the staff were very friendly. In summary, I felt the hotel was overpriced and has a bit of work to do around improving its service offering. I would stay elsewhere next time I visit Udawalawe.

We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights for our family and enjoyed the stay as much as possible. We were given rooms next to each other and rooms were new and beautifully built. Buffet was available for every meal except on the departure day breakfast since the hotel was running low occupancy. It was a beautiful touch that the Manager (new to the hotel) came to the dinner table to ask if everything was ok. He even considered our request for a late checkout for extra one hour for all 3 rooms. I would like to thank the Front Office team, Subash FOM, Dhanuka Supervisor, Lovely reception guys Miuru, Pabasara, Nuwan and the hard working bell boy Buddhika for the amazing hospitality. Also a big shout-out to the Restaurant team, Supervisor Attanayake and Shameera along with the hostesses Madara and Hansani for the wonderful service given during our meal times. They were too kind to arrange us a special table outside which we had to cancel due to the rainy weather. Kitchen staff was also smiling and willing to serve our every need. No hotel can be successful only in giving luxurious facilities and it is the staff of the hotel who add a value to the product by giving their fullest support at work. Sometimes just a little smile can change the whole mood and bring u a beautiful day and I am sure you will find that beautiful smile here. Best wishes from Gayathri with much love!

We stayed (unfortunately) only one night at Centauria but it was absolutely worth it. It started with a great welcoming procedure and continued with a spacious and clean room with a stunning view over the Udawalawe lake where we could spot elephants taking a bath. The pool is just amazing, as it is huge and has a separate kids/baby area. The food is good and was very tasty.
Above all, the friendliness and care of the hotel staff was outstanding. They even arranged a surprise in our room for our anniversary with a decorated bed and a chocolate cake. Amazing!
Location is just right to start an adventurous safari into Udawalawe which was the reason for our stay.
Overall clear recommendation!

Stayed for one night. Room large and comfortable with air conditioning. Balcony with seats overlooking the grounds. The bed was large and very comfortable. Bathroom decor very impressive with a large showing area. Dining room is large with the chef cooking what meats you would like cooking for your meal. Good selection of food for both breakfast and evening meal. Lovely pleasant hotel

We did not expect such a new, modern and spacious Hotel. Ok, we saw some pictures here, but normally, realtiy is then a little different. But not at Centauri Wild...realtiy here was even better than on the pictures. We can only confirm last positiv reviews here. Despite Covid limitations in other hotel nowadays Centauri was fully operating and we enjoyed their facilities, high level scilled personal, and exellent job of the kitchen. We wish the entire crew to continue and maintain this high quality standard during 'tourist-dry-season‘ and then after to let many vistors enjoy a very valuable stay in your hotel. We are a family of four with two teenage daughters stayed in Centauria wild hotel for 4 days. It was such an excellent stay .We stayed in a large family room with all necessary comforts . The entire staff was very friendly & most helpful . Any request was given immediate attention . The food was of high quality & had a such a good variety. It has a nice clean pool open till 8 pm The roof top gave beautiful overlook into Udawalawe tank where one can find elephants any time during the day . The sun set viewed from the rooftop was a wonderful site . The gardens in the Hotel was a very interesting place to visit with many varieties of local fruit trees, it also has hen house with cockerels & ducks . The hotel also helped us arrange the Wild life safari transport in comfortable safe Jeep . Overall it was an excellent stay & we surely want to return .

Centuaria Wild is one of the best hotels I've visited especially with the current pandemic situation. The staff is very friendly and extreamly helpful. They always attend to customer needs and willing to go the extra mile to help a guest.
Also they have the best variety of food and the meals are exceptional in quality, taste as well as cleanliness. They maintain their hotel very well with the best safety standards even with the current pandemic situation.
This hotel is highly recommended if you anyone to go udawalawa with their loved ones.

This hotel showed great promise. Beautiful cool reception area, welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Lovely pool area. Amazing huge bedroom with balcony overlooking sugar cane plantation. Beautiful bathroom with huge shower. However after one shower the tray did not empty for a good few hours so 2nd shower was a bit more like a shallow bath which flooded bathroom floor. Also our safe would not lock so we had to carry valuables around with us which was a bit annoying. We did report it to reception but they didn’t seem too bothered. Food in restaurant was ok for dinner and breakfast but had better elsewhere. Second day on return from early visit to elephants we tried to get a cup of coffee after breakfast had finished. Coffee shop closed. Cafe closed. Reception sent us to bar where we waited 10 minutes but no one came. Went back to reception and they tried to send us back to the bar but I refused. After 50 minutes of trying they eventually delivered drinks to reception just as our driver was loading the car. Other than that a beautiful hotel and it was just the slowness of service at pool and bar that lowered rating from 4 to 3 stars.

It was one night stay but enjoyed big time. Very friendly staff and room are with nature view, some animals like dears , buffalos can be seen from the hotel view. Kids enjoyed the nice swimming pool. Not a very big buffet , but very tasty food. Highly Recommend this hotel
