We stopped in for a night and had an amazing time. We were 2 couples and got 360 and a 180 igloos, both very cool setups. We had time to roam around in the snow and take unforgettable pictures. We used the hot tub, enjoyed the included dinner and breakfast. The staff Were so nice! Susanna and Mary Anna (sorry if names were incorrect!) made our stay perfect. So nice and caring, loved this place, highly recommend. Thanks!

What can I say about Lyngen North & the igloos other than it was awesome, just heavenly, in every sense of the word. The location is stunning & the scenery changes with the sunlight, wind, cloud etc. I honestly could not get bored looking at it. Arriving at Lyngen North you are met by very friendly, charming and welcoming staff. The igloo (ours was a 360) is obviously not a complete hotel room in size but has everything needed. We looked out on to Lyngenfjord and the mountains. The top is glazed and uncovered so that if you are lucky the Northern Lights can be seen (we weren’t so lucky). Meals are taken in the reception/restaurant area and are really superb. Breakfast is a buffet, with fresh fruit, meat, bread, yoghurt etc, with the offer of bacon & egg should you wish it. Was delicious. Evening meal was wonderful; excellent chefs. I don’t eat fish & so was given a different starter/main course than my wife, if fish was on the menu that evening. As we left on the 7am flight, we were even given a ‘take-away’ breakfast. Special mention must go to Marianne and Susannah, but ALL the staff are very friendly and helpful. My only advice would be to take your own soap as the one used is foam and soon rinses from your hands. This, without doubt, is one of my top places to stay. …

Never experienced anything like it. Stayed in the glass 360 igloo for 2 nights. Igloos nice and heated, great pressure showers. Motorised beds meant star gazing and northern light searching was comfortable and cosy. Lucky to see the northern lights one night which was breathtaking. Marianne and team were outstanding and answered my 50 thousand questions with a smile. The food was 5* and I could honestly eat at the restaurant everyday for rest of my life 😄

We stayed for 2 nights. A trip of a lifetime, the views from the igloo are stunning and were constantly changing because of the light, all the staff were excellent, the food was great, we got to see dolphins and an otter feeding in the bay.First night there we saw the northern lights which started at 10.30pm and finished at 1.30am. The second day we had booked a trip to go on the dog sledging trip which was a buzz the huskies were very friendly.

Cannot say enough good things about lyngen north. Completely worth it! 1) we did see the northern lights (March 17, 2023) and they were absolutely breathtaking right outside our glass igloo. Even if we hadn’t seen the northern lights, I would come anyways. The view from the igloos is jaw-dropping and one of the most beautiful places I’ve been to! I will say, it does need to be relatively clear to see and could be cloudy which would obscure a lot. One day was super clear and the next was cloudy/foggy. 2) completely amazing food. I have a few dietary restrictions and they were EXTREMELY accommodating, not just giving me food that worked for me, but made special sauces for me that were delicious. 3) hosts: family-run business which is so nice, but most importantly, they’re the best hosts I’ve ever had! Extremely accommodating, helping with anything we need, and never making me feel like I was a bother. I was traveling with my dad and they set up a rollaway bed impromptu. 4) cleanliness/comfort/aesthetic: everything was clean and very comfortable! The beds were really really comfy. They had a hair dryer and supplied shampoo and shower gel. If you’re someone that can’t live without conditioner, bring your own. The main building and glass igloo furniture was very comfy and peaceful-looking in its aesthetic. They play very relaxing music in the main building (where you can hang near a wood stove and where the restaurant is). 5) activities: they have xc skis and boots and poles to borrow (sizes 39, 41, 42, 45), also have snow shoes. You can plan for a guided tour or borrow yourself if they’re available. Could also book a tour to go backcountry skiing which looked like it would’ve been amazing. We stayed in the 180 in the second row—honestly it doesn’t obscure ANYTHING as it’s set up on a hill. Don’t sleep on this amazing place! …

We took the bus from Tromsø and arrived in the afternoon where we checked into one of the cabins for two nights. The sun was partly shining when we came and we were able to enjoy the wonderfull scenery. There is view directly to the fiord from the cabin, which is comfy and have plenty of room for our group of four. We were lucky to see the northern light on our first night and then we just enjoyed some walks and the nature.on our second day. In the evening it was snowing and windy so nonnorthern light on our second night. The place is so peacefull, the staff are so kind and we had some great food in the restaurant. I can only give this fantastic place my bestvrecommendations.

The hotel is stunning! We stayed in the 180degree igloo and personally think we made the right choice as the uninterrupted floor to ceiling view was incredible. The rooms are lovely and clean and modern and the restaurant and bar area are relaxing and quiet. I wouldn’t suggest staying more than one night unless you want to do some of the excursions as there is nothing else to to during the day (well, apart from sit in bed and watch the beautiful scenery and wildlife) My only issue was the food. I emailed in advance to let them know I was vegan and got a fantastic meal in the evening. However, when it came to breakfast I basically had the choice of bread (no butter or toaster) and 3 types of fruit. There were some vegetables (cucumber, tomato and pepper) but they weren’t separated from the meat/fish so not very vegetarian or vegan friendly! Very disappointing when they made such great effort with dinner. Also, I personally think the hot tub should be included in the price (about £20pp to use). I presume its to avoid a lot of people using it at once and taking from the experience but booking time slots would work if this was why. Staff were always friendly and the transport here (on the arctic route bus) was easy and good value.…

the glass igloo was really great for viewing the northern lights. the staff were very friendly. the food was good but not big variety. what i was disappointed in was the lack of any offers of doing excursions. there was whale watching but we weren’t told about it till after we left. the owner came in one morning and didn’t even smile let alone greet us. not very friendly. they made us feel that we were just two more people staying with them and didn’t try to make our stay memorable at all. we were pretty disappointed. we travelled along way and would have appreciated it. i’m giving it a 4 star because of the igloo.

Amazing in every way. We had two stunning nights in this beautiful hotel and everything was perfect. We had a glass igloo , with the most wonderful view of the mountains. The room is beautifully warm , with a really powerful shower. The food is simply stunning as well. We had the most beautiful lamb on night one , and Moose stew on night two. Breakfast is also lovely. We had toe activities booked , a snowmobile expedition up a nearby mountain. The guide was so friendly and helpful. We went 600 metres up and felt like we were on top of the world. We had a lovely stop in a cabin , had a camp fire and beautiful hot dogs. We also both had a go at driving the snowmobile. On the second day we had a lovely walk on snowshoes. Oh and we got to see the lights as well ! This has been a once on a lifetime experience , and we have loved every second of it. Thanks to the amazing owners and staff for such a wonderful experience. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.…
