Nestled in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside sits the idyllic Grove of Narberth, a truly magical retreat with a light hearted and unbuttoned feel. This hotel is widely regarded as one of the finest small luxury hotels in Wales with an outstanding reputation for its sensational food and warm hospitality. Its elegant house and charming cottages are surrounded by manicured lawns, flower borders, meadows and mature trees all sat in their own glade with a meandering stream with views to the Preseli Hills. This truly unique destination is perhaps a little eccentric, avoiding the wholly unconventional or appearing contrived. Warm professionalism and bonhomie pervade here, creating the opportunity to showcase intimate relaxed hospitality at its very best. Inside you’ll find meticulously restored interiors, full of atmosphere created with a blend of hand-crafted contemporary furniture and Welsh antiques, arts and crafts. Lovingly restored and thoughtfully designed this hotel has a delicate eye for modern luxury whilst never losing its unique sense of individuality. The Grove offers 12 intimate guest rooms and 13 suites, many of which have been recently refurbished and designed by acclaimed interior designer Martin Hulbert. Guests in need of pampering will enjoy the deep cast iron baths and wonderful in room massages. Gaze out of the windows for scenic views of the Preseli mountains, or explore the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park, its sandy beaches, little harbours and unrivalled coastal walks. The hotel has 2 restaurant offerings including their fine dining restaurant called the 'Fernery' and a more relaxed and informal restaurant called the 'Artisan Rooms'. Guests can expect exceptional food, expertly prepared by their hugely talented Executive Head Chef, Douglas Balish. The cuisine has won national awards and critical acclaim, including 3 coveted AA Rosettes, Wales Tourism Awards and listing in the Good Food Guide. Grove is the only 5 star hotel in South West Wales as well as being AA Hotel of the Year for Wales 2020 and the Sunday Times Best in Wales 2020. This venue is simply the perfect place to relax in intimate luxury for those who love their food and want to create an authentic and memorable experience whilst exploring this most stunning part of Wales.

What an amazing place, from the time we trotted up to the minute we left we were treated like royaty. Great breakfast and my food intolerances were taken into account at last nights dinner. A simple chicken breast salad was prepared without any problems Huge great suite, rainfall shower, full fridge. Thankyou it was amazing.

We stayed four nights at the grove and it was amazing. The room was like an apartment best furniture and very well decorated. The venue is far away from every traffic noise in a beautiful countryside…we enjoyed that so much. Nevertheless…the staff was very friendly and helpful with all questions we had….and the food was excellent….breakfast and evening dinner……we traveled around UK…this hotel is second to none….

The Grove is a beautifully restored property, stylish, luxurious but with an individual character. The beautiful grounds are an asset… as is the walled garden which provides fruit, vegetables and cut flowers to the hotel. The food in The Fernery was superb, with several stand out dishes. Flavour was never compromised for appearance - that was true for all eight courses and the canapés and petit fours were generous and delicious. Breakfast was very good too. The staff we encountered had an excellent demeanour- they struck just the right note without too much formality and nothing was too much trouble. Also, the hotel was so quiet at night- no kitchen or noise from staff or other guests. We would definitely stay at The Grove again.

A beautiful retreat nestled in unspoiled Pembrokeshire countryside, The Grove offered us everything we might have hoped for and more, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The tasting menu, enjoyed in the Fernery restaurant was exquisite - amongst the finest food we have ever eaten. Yes, this is an expensive hotel - but worth every penny.

A warm welcome and superb service from the amazing team at Grove Narberth. We stayed in Blue and had the best food and wine in the Fernery. Thanks for all the personal touches that made this a weekend to remember.

What a beautiful place The Grove at Narberth is - we had originally booked for 3 nights but were enjoying our stay so much we extended for a further 2 nights. Aside from the spectacular setting and stunning accommodation, it is the warm hospitality that really sets it apart. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay and kitted our room out perfectly to accommodate our one year old daughter (the baby bathrobe and Welsh storybook were just perfect additions!). Fabulous breakfast each morning and a superb couple of restaurants on sight to choose from in the evening. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

We had a lovely stay at this idyllic hotel. Looking for a non-dog friendly room, only a Master Suite (Henry) was available when I booked...very comfortable with a lovely sitting room, cosy bedroom and spacious bathroom. All mod cons are available in a contemporary setting without losing the warmth and character of the building. Sadly the Fernery (fine dining) was not open on any of the three nights we were there, but we had a delicious supper in the Artisan Rooms on our first night. Breakfasts were all excellent and the staff are all friendly and helpful. We wish it were not so far from home as we would like to return very soon!

The hotel is set in lovely grounds just a mile or so from Narbeth and 20 minutes from the coast. The hotel itself is comfortable, bedrooms are stylish and the food is of high quality. The Fenery restaurant tasting menu was a particular highlight. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. I can recommend it.

We love it at the Grove. We've stayed about half a dozen times now and taken close friends on some of those occasions. Always a "risk" when you rave about somewhere. But the Grove never fails to perform. Really stylish rooms and great food.

We had the most fantastic stay at the Grove. Every single detail had been catered for. We were very lucky to have been upgraded when we arrived, which was a nice surprise. It is very rare to find service and standard to this level We could not fault it, and will be returning. Sue and Ian jones
