Nestled in the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside sits the idyllic Grove of Narberth, a truly magical retreat with a light hearted and unbuttoned feel. This hotel is widely regarded as one of the finest small luxury hotels in Wales with an outstanding reputation for its sensational food and warm hospitality. Its elegant house and charming cottages are surrounded by manicured lawns, flower borders, meadows and mature trees all sat in their own glade with a meandering stream with views to the Preseli Hills. This truly unique destination is perhaps a little eccentric, avoiding the wholly unconventional or appearing contrived. Warm professionalism and bonhomie pervade here, creating the opportunity to showcase intimate relaxed hospitality at its very best. Inside you’ll find meticulously restored interiors, full of atmosphere created with a blend of hand-crafted contemporary furniture and Welsh antiques, arts and crafts. Lovingly restored and thoughtfully designed this hotel has a delicate eye for modern luxury whilst never losing its unique sense of individuality. The Grove offers 12 intimate guest rooms and 13 suites, many of which have been recently refurbished and designed by acclaimed interior designer Martin Hulbert. Guests in need of pampering will enjoy the deep cast iron baths and wonderful in room massages. Gaze out of the windows for scenic views of the Preseli mountains, or explore the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park, its sandy beaches, little harbours and unrivalled coastal walks. The hotel has 2 restaurant offerings including their fine dining restaurant called the 'Fernery' and a more relaxed and informal restaurant called the 'Artisan Rooms'. Guests can expect exceptional food, expertly prepared by their hugely talented Executive Head Chef, Douglas Balish. The cuisine has won national awards and critical acclaim, including 3 coveted AA Rosettes, Wales Tourism Awards and listing in the Good Food Guide. Grove is the only 5 star hotel in South West Wales as well as being AA Hotel of the Year for Wales 2020 and the Sunday Times Best in Wales 2020. This venue is simply the perfect place to relax in intimate luxury for those who love their food and want to create an authentic and memorable experience whilst exploring this most stunning part of Wales.

My husband and I were thrilled to find the Grove. An absolutely first class hotel with first class staff and service! We are both vegans and we were delighted to be offered excellent food in both restaurants! We stayed in a beautiful room called Daniel and Elizabeth, and loved it! My only little bit of sadness was I was taken ill on the first night, so was not feeling 100%. Clare on reception was brilliant and got me into the local doctors surgery in Narberth. We definitely will be back and hopefully and I will be in top shape to enjoy this wonderful place! Thank you everyone at the Grove

Stayed at the hotel recently, our room was very welcoming, comfortable and well appointed. Bed was super comfortable, good range of toiletries , fluffy towels and well stocked complimentary mini bar. The hotel has some charming, cosy communal rooms to relax by the fire. Enjoyed the 5 course menu with matched wines, delicious plates of locally sourced produce cooked to a high standard. Served by a very friendly and knowledgeable team. Also discovered some lovely wines that we had never tried before. Breakfast the next morning was up there with the meal the night before, thoughtful fresh local produce on a varied menu with plenty of tea and coffee. I look forward to our next stay.

We just held my daughter's wedding at The Grove this weekend. Many of family and friends stayed at the hotel over the weekend, including myself, and the wedding was on Sunday. The setting was delightful and the staff could not have been more helpful withe preparatory work, during the event and the clearing up afterwards. I think it fair to say they often went beyond expectations. My daughter and new son in law thoroughly enjoyed the whole event as did we all - everything ran like clockwork. I only saw the rooms in the adjoing stone outbuildings but they were beautifully furnished and decorated with everything you could possibly want or need and even little notes giving weather and suggesting outings for the next day when the bed was turned down. The food was excellent and the service impeccable - I would have no hesitation to recommend The Grove for an event, stay or even just a meal. Thomas - you and your team can justifiably take a bow and sincere thanks from the Brides Father for ensuring her Special Day really was special!

We stayed for three nights in a loft room which was cosy and comfortable. The refilled toiletries were a nice touch although the bubble bath had been accidentally refilled with body lotion which made for an interesting bath! Food was good in both restaurants and wine by the glass was from a good selection. The free mini bar is something all hotels could adopt having experienced some minibars with dodgy practices in the past.
