This is one of the better Comfort Inn's on our trip. Even though it is very close to the highway, it was very quiet all night long. The rooms are clean and the breakfast was satisfactory for a hotel-offered meal.
I had to use a hanger with clips to hold my curtain closed. Being on the first floor and my curtains would not stay closed, I wasn’t interested in peeping Toms. Then when I went to the breakfast, it had the normal breakfast options with ants everywhere. I made a bowl of oatmeal with toppings (raisins, granola, nuts). The front desk person (they don’t wear masks) came and put his grubby hands right into the toppings to make himself a bowl as well. The cherry on the top was hearing the breakfast attendant informing him that she doesn’t feel well but can’t afford to take time off work. He asked if she had a vaccine and she said no. Why are they not health screening their employees BEFORE they start serving their guests breakfast. And why is staff not wearing masks? This place gave me the creeps from the minute I had to use a hanger on my curtains. Breakfast just confirmed my thoughts on this place.…
I used to judge a property on cleanliness, comfort and quiet...since the pandemic I have included mask compliance as part of criteria for basing my review...this property was clean , the beds were comfortable..road noise was a problem and front desk clerk had no face covering as did a few patrons sitting in lobby area..pool area was nice..hot tub closed..hot breakfast items were provided along with pastries, yogurt, cereals and fresh fruit...dining area was closed for our safety...eating in room was no problem..
I made several changes to my reservation prior to arrival and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We had a total of 5 rooms booked for friends from out of state because due to COVID travel to and from Chicago is restricted. I arrived a night before everyone else. I've been staying at this hotel for 6 yrs for the record. I spoke with a very friendly woman named Kelly when I needed to upgrade my reservation. She was no less than fantastic and super friendly. I only regret I was unable to thank her in person. The rest of the staff FANTASTIC especially consider tourism is way down. My room was clean and very comfortable. The only downside was that my refrigerator wasn't working. They sent a tech and a specified time the next day and he discovered it was only unplugged. I assume since it was most likely out of use for 7 months of COVID. To tp op it all off they even granted all of his travelers an extra hour of checkout. I was bummed that there was no hot food at the breakfast buffet but that's just the state of the industry now. The upside is that there are so many great places to eat within walking distance. I really cannot wait to return. Thanks to everyone at the Comfort Inn! …
The Comfort Inn was exactly as expected. The room was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was decent. The only drawback was it was a little hard to find the entrance to the hotel after dark. The Inn has a small bar and there is a good Italian restaurant just across the parking lot.
We stopped here for a quick overnight on a road trip. The property was clean and well kept outside and in the front desk area. Unfortunately, our room was not as clean. White socks worn to bed at night and only used to walk to the bathroom and back a couple of times became filthy. The hotel management told us later we should have asked for a new room. I agree, but we didn't realize how dirty the carpet was until the next morning. A word of caution: Check the carpet! On the plus side the staff was friendly, the room was quiet and the breakfast was good. We walked to Cracker Barrel for supper and there are many stores nearby.
Very nice Hotel. Clean. and the A/C works great! It's located close to training camp. Bring your own breakfast for the weekends if you plan to leave early they don't set out breakfast until 7:00 am. Pool and Hot Tub were clean.
Great experience ! The quality and the cleanliness was a plus . I will continue to come to comfort inn . The jucuzii room was fantastic and very spacious. I recommend making the soap a little bigger and providing tooth paste
Pool, hot tub, room, and breakfast was wonderful. Staff and management were rude and acted as if we were bothering them. Arrival no one greeted or said hello, the person who was in the bar could not get off cell phone or chair to talk to us. The cost of a plastic cup of draft beer and a 7.5 oz. can of coke cost $6.95. No orange juice to make a simple drink. Never asked if the person ordering the drinks was staying at the hotel. Gave my room number and when complained to management about rudeness was told if they would have charged a non guest they would lose licence to sell liquor.
Very friendly front desk staff. Large clean comfortable room. Nice breakfast and dining area. Easy to find off the road and close to many options for dinner. I noticed a small bar area and business computers available.
