We took 26 kids on a school trip to this wonderful hotel, and we were extremely surprised by the standard of hotel we were treated to. We have many girls who are vegan, Kosher, no beef etc, and the lovely chef created separate buffet food for all of them. Veganism isn't really catered for in Iceland but he travelled out...

We stayed here one night on our trip around Iceland. It is a very nice hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet. Dinner was very good with nice selections and breakfast was also excellent. The hotel is easy to find and has views of the countryside. There is also a hot tub to soak away your tired aches. Staff is...

Rooms were clean, booking in and out was easy and without hassle. The breakfast was very good and the hotel, although remote was easy to locate. The downside is the expensive evening menu and when asked if a vegetarian meal could be made up, my wife was offered a salad!!!!, which we considered very poor - perhaps this is a...

I took a school group of 29 teenagers here, 3 with serious food allergies. The staff were excellent, and the food was amazing - lots of choice, all very tasty, and the chef took great pains to make sure everybody was properly catered for, going above and beyond what I'd expect. The facilities are excellent, and the rooms are spotless....

Such a lovely little hotel with great staff and amazing food. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay for a school trip. The hotel owner was friendly and helpful and the chef catered superbly for our girls with dietary requirements. We will definitely be back!

Friendly staff, fresh eggs from their chickens, and very helpful. The owner made some recommendations of nearby sight seeing destinations. The couple nights we stayed at the hotel it was really quiet. Was not a far drive from Reykjavik and was near the main road. It was a good price for the room.

Having arrived late, due to delays at the airport, it was lovely to arrive at this hotel and be able to enjoy a really delicious dinner and relax. The staff were both helpful, with advice on good places to visit, which were off the tourist route. We would recommend staying here to others. The location was easy to find, and...

Hotel Hlid was a great day for me, very quiet and clean and slightly outside of several different towns so it was perfect for traveling in many different directions. Sweet horses are in the field next door and they come over and say hello. There is a hot tub in the back that was very relaxing. The food served in...
