Stayed at the Wallace inn for 4 nights to do 3 days of cycling on the Coeur d’Alene trail and Hiawatha trail. The hotel has a van and shuttled 10 of us and our bikes to a different start point each day. The hotel is very comfortable and well set up for bikes. Wallace has a few good restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the small taco restaurant and the wine bar in town. We had a great trip and highly recommend this hotel especially if you are into cycling on rail grade trails. As a bonus The Coeur d’Alene trail is paved !

We were in Wallace to ride the Hiawatha Bike Trail. We had a most pleasant stay at the Wallace Inn. Cassie and David were wonderful to help us with our needs,. First, They have a bike room to store your bikes in at night so you don't have to leave them on the rack on your vehicle. Next, and the best, after riding the trail you come home very dirty and your bikes are quite muddy. We searched for a car wash in Wallace to clean our bikes and finding none on google, Asked the front desk! Well--they have a hose out back that has hot water that we were able to use to wash our bikes! It was wonderful! They were so helpful! Also the cafe that is only open for breakfast was great also. Would definitely stay there again!

Susan, your review made our day! We specialize in hospitality and very much appreciate our bicycling guests. Nothing is better than a great ride on the Hiawatha or the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes...or better yet both. We are always happy to go the extra mile to make your adventure work. Hope to see you on the Trails next spring!

We were treated so well from our first contact call to our farewell. I cannot imagine better service.
Our first call was a fact finding call regarding room rates and more importantly how their shuttle service could work for our planned transit of the trails of the Coeur d'Alene. Rick, director of ops helped us plan how best to get everything in order. He is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and a lot of fun to speak with. Everything worked like clockwork. Richard, the shuttle driver knows what he is doing and is pleasantly quite interesting. Our tandem was loaded carefully and tied quite securely to the trailer. Our last day as the tandem was being loaded, I casually asked Rick who was present only for good relations if he knew anyone at City Limits restaurant there in Wallace. (BTW: Eat there!!!!!) I explained I was 99% sure I had left wallet there. Rick said he would take care of the whole thing and would drop wallet off near our final endpoint at The Old Mission that afternoon thus saving us an hour driving back to Wallace and on toward home. His whole plan worked perfectly. I did not even ask for help. He just volunteered to fix everything and told me don't worry. And it all came to pass perfectly. That is small town, excellent customer service like I have not experienced in years. Rick was like our personal friend making sure we felt welcome and cared for every step of the way. Also,The Wallace Inn has a meeting room where you are invited to store your bike if you do not want to leave it on the car rack over night. The lady that welcomed us upon arrival invited us to use that room, so we did. Worry free and easy. She was VERY helpful, warm and service oriented.Breakfast was good, room comfy, quiet and clean. Hot tub was nice too!If you are cycling in the area call this place, talk to Rick, and STAY at The Wallace Inn. It truly was a stay maker.Thank you Rick and all at Wallace Inn!

We stay here often after skiing at Lookout Pass, it is 20 minutes west of the ski hill. The staff are friendly, David remembers us and calls us by name when we come in. The attached diner offers classic western fare at reasonable pries. There are numerous other dining choices just a couple blocks away in town.

My husband and I took a spur of the moment overnight trip without our kids and landed at the Wallace Inn. David checked us in and was so unbelievably kind and helpful. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND to assure our stay was special. He even let us know when the pool/hot tub was clear knowing we could use some quiet time. We found the hotel to be exceptional for the price and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. The front desk person often seems to set the initial experience and tone of a hotel and David couldn’t have represented better! Thank You for a much needed night away!

Stayed the night here prior to biking the Hiawatha Trail. Room was clean and quiet. They even had a room set aside that you could bring your bikes in to ensure they were safe overnight. Staff (David) was very helpful and provided a map of Wallace and pointed out various things to do and places to eat.

Myself and 2 other families recently stayed at this facility while coming to Wallace to celebrate a family members 13th birthday. We were a good sized group with 10 children and 5 adults. The set up was wonderful, as our rooms were placed far away from other guests, so we didn't have to spend our entire stay constantly telling all our children to be quiet. The thoughtfulness of this was much appreciated!! As for the motel itself, we couldn't be happier. If you're lucky, you'll meet Dave upon checking in. He was very friendly, informative and helpful in all our needs. You could tell he really enjoyed his job. The entire staff did an amazing job keeping the motel clean and comfortable. The pool area is amazing, and the view of the majestic mountains through the glass ceiling is so beautiful! Even though it is located right off of I-90, we were unable to hear the traffic inside of the hotel. The only downside for me (I have a bad hip) was that there is no elevator at this facility. So if you have a disability, make sure and request a first floor room. Again, Dave was great and got me a room right by the staircase that lead up to the other families rooms so that I was still close without having to use the stairs. I would definitely recommend staying at the Wallace Inn!

We have been staying at this hotel on a regular basis when skiing at lookout pass resort. This is by far the best place to stay in Wallace - clean rooms, nice indoor pool, and most importantly, best desk service. All staff is helpful, and in particular David at the front desk has always been super helpful, he is friendly, and goes out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as it could be. The mountain is about 20 min away, and this "ski by day - pool in evening" is the best weekend combo possible for our family with 2 kids.

Our travel company loves Wallace and Rick, the GM, is what makes guests want to come back over and over. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the front desk always accommodating. The pool and hot tub atrium was clean and inviting. Parking is easy and on site. We explored and dined around town (great restaurant options) and enjoyed coming back each evening to our comfortable rooms. Once again, we were there 5 nights with 16 rooms EACH night and no complaints that I heard.

Each time we have stayed here, David has been running the front desk. He is very personable and knowledgable about all the restaurants in the area (what tine they close, how much they charge for delivery and good menu items). He is jovial and funny, brings a light hearted and kind atmosphere to our stay every time. The hotel is clean and focused on being COVID safe. The breakfast is above average and the pool/spa area is clean and well maintained. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the quality of beds/fridge/HVAC is higher than expected in this price range.

Hi Jaime. The Wallace Inn is certainly dog friendly as my personal 4 legged family member would be happy to welcome yours upon arrival. There is a $25.00/day pet fee charged to the room. Come see us soon.
Yes, we have Keurig coffeemakers in all rooms. Also, there is great coffee in the lobby 24/7.
Yes, they had a room in the hotel to store the bikes. We actually had clean bikes we rolled in the room. Either way, you will be taken care of. Rick promises.
Yes there is one in each room.
Good morning, Oscar;
The Wallace Inn does not have laundry facilities on property but there is a fine Laundromat within 5 short blocks of the hotel.
We hope that you will find time to stop and visit Historic Wallace, Id.
