My husband first contacted this resort when looking for a second layover for our backpacking trip across Idaho. They were friendly and accommodating, very willing to keep a couple of boxes of gear/food/ clothing for us we dropped off prior to our trip. When we hiked into town at 10 a.m. on day of our reservations they scrambled and found... More

First let me be clear... this is not a luxury resort. it is a simple place in the middle of a small town. The staff was very polite, our room was clean and the location was PERFECT. The entire town is a small place that enjoys the beauty of the mountains and nature. it is a place that serves its... More

This is no resort but a very old two story motel. Four or five rooms were updated a couple of years ago. Our room was large, three queen beds and on the second floor. The beds were of the swayback variety, thin curtains that let the light in and no air conditioning so the trucks going by on the road... More

Our room was very comfortable and clean. The beds were great and the pillows great, which we like. We had a great view of the mountains from our balcony. Nice knotty pine motif. We would definitely stay there again.

Calling this a resort is a true misrepresentation. This is simply and old, rustic motel. Parking is in front of the rooms, which is noisy, and wood walkways and stairs are creaky and noisy as well. Rooms are basic with no air conditioning, causing you to open the windows to cool off, which just increases the noise factor. Most guests... More

With so few options in Stanley, this is likely where you'll be staying, especially with a river outfitter. Rooms are okay for the seasonal price. An update to accommodate increased demand for electric outlets is over due. The staff seem poorly trained and often confused.

If you are coming to Stanley, you are likely interested more in the outdoors than you are staying in the hotel room. If this is you, then the hotel will work fine. It is not a luxury accommodation, but it is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is good right in the middle of town within walking distance to the... More

The Mountain Village Resort was ok but could use an update and a good cleaning. The location for us was perfect since our rafting trip was leaving from the area and could accommodate our full group of 15 travelers (not all in the same room). It has a beautiful view of the Sawtooth's and access to a hot spring (need... More

Stayed one night before our rafting trip. Motel is clean, towels were aplenty and relatively new. No hairdryer or iron, but really don't think I would have needed either the for this trip. Convenient location near restaurants (suggest The Redd) and the saloon had good beer specials. There is a little coffee/smoothie/ ice cream truck next door to get beverages/breakfast... More

Don't know what other accommodations are in Stanley but this motel is clean, well-maintained and comfortable. No wi-fi but some good tv stations. A small fridge in the room and nice towels. This is definitely a good place to stay, nothing you haven't seen before, but no down-side to the lodgings.
