My husband and I stayed at the inn for a much needed weekend getaway. It was snowing when we arrived, so it was great to walk into the lobby with a nice fire going to warm us up. Our room was very nice and had all the necessities we needed. The hot tub outside and the soda fountain machine in the lobby were also nice additions. The staff was excellent! We accidentally got locked out of our room and had to call for assistance. They came right away to let us into our room. As we arrived in the off season, there was only one restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner…the Mountain Village Restaurant. All the others were closed for the season. Fortunately, they had great food. The inn is in a beautiful location with views of the Sawtooth Mountains. The scenery all around the inn is spectacular! We would definitely stay at the inn on our next visit to Stanley. …
We just returned from a girl's weekend summiting Thompson Peak. Three girls stayed in the hotel and three others stayed in a "cabinette". Upon making the reservations, I called the hotel twice with questions and the staff was friendly and accommodating, so I decided to book the rooms here. I didn't give the hotel 5 stars because the cabinettes need to be remodeled (which is the plan). They were clean, but a little crumbling and falling apart. Once remodeled, I would give the hotel 5 stars based on: clean rooms, quick responses to texts from the front desk (although I never saw a person to interact with), ability to reserve the hot tub (although we never got to use it), we had issues with a neighbor who had a barking and whining dog, texted front desk and they texted the people and resolved the issue. We stayed during off season and the restaurant was closed, but it was super cute inside. We would definitely stay here again. Since this is a Redfish property, I hope they remodel and get it up to the same standards at Redfish (but then the price would increase so maybe not). I hope the prices are kept low, because it's way too expensive at Redfish. (And always booked!)…
We came to Stanley to completely unplug and relax after 4 days of Real Estate hunting throughout WY and ID. The Inn was perfect! We explored during the days after a wonderful breakfast across the street at the Mountain Village Restaurant & Saloon and returned for a glass or two of wine on the large deck right off our room that faced the Sawtooth Mountain Range. Charming cabin decor, Super Clean, Comfortable Mattress and Bedding. Friendly Staff with Wonderful recommendations for "Must Sees" in Stanley and surrounding area!!
No matter how many visits we’ve made, The Stanley High Country Inn never disappoints. The attention to detail is exemplary. The hot tub is a nice bonus after a day of exploring the incredible area. Highly recommend this property. AAA Tamie O
Great location! Short walk to all restaurants in Stanley. Short drive to lots of great & diverse trailheads. Clean and complete. Would have been nice to have a toaster... Level 2 EV charger would make our next trip a bit easier. The EVs are a'coming.
Let me begin by saying Tripadvisor rates this inn a 4.5 star, as do other rating services. Obviously, the travelers never had the pleasure of staying in cabin #106. We just returned 10 days ago from there, and thank God the area is lovely, because the cabin was a dump. Lets begin...Trash under the bed...a hole in the kitchen floor covered by a throw rug...disgusting black mildew lined the shower/tub floor...the carpet badly soiled and felt oily to the touch...no Kleenex...and the front desk team on check in totally uninterested in the guest but loved their texting. I have pictures to support. I did go to the front desk to comment after one night, and no manager to chat with, and I have heard the management is mostly absent. I wrote a letter to the Inn, sharing my comments, and the PR response was thank you and we will share your comments with the staff. I sure hope they share with the ownership. On the positive front, dining at the Redfish Lodge was enjoyed by us both. In addition, there was one staff member who found a partial box of Kleenex and left it at our doorstep. She went out of her way to accommodate a guests wish.…
Really enjoyed my stay at the High Country Inn. Great setting. I was there "off season" so it was very quiet. The room was nicely appointed, comfortable bed and I really appreciated that the coffee make had real mugs, not paper cups, and was not a keurig (with the plastic shots).
This was our first visit to Stanley. The lodge is very conveniently located to a bakery/cafe, town square businesses and minutes from Redfish Lake Lodge. There is a shuttle service between the two properties which made our dinner at Redfish Lake that much more convenient (and safe). Our room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Lodge staff was very kind and helpful. We ask they consider having a few more amenities in the communal lobby where the rooms are located such as coffee or water. The free fountain drinks were a plus. We recommend this inn.
We stayed in the Fall suite which was very comfortable. For some reason I thought the room was not air conditioned but they had an in room air conditioner that kept the temperature very pleasant in the hot summer heat. Another nice touch was ice and fountain drinks in the lobby, perfect to help refresh after a day outdoors.
Our stay at the High Country Inn on July 14, 2022 was one to remember. The location was close to everything but far enough away for some relaxing. The room and amenities were outstanding. We had an amazing shower in our unit, everything that you would want was available. The staff here was most pleasant and accommodating. We would definitely stay again.
