This is in a good location and the photos of the rooms are accurate. However: sign on office door said Closed, we got there a little early, not much, and after calling were told to wait until 3. Another customer simply walked into the office, and there was actually someone there. If you're looking for privacy and quiet, this isn't it. Loud patrons next door and it's after 11:00. Do not get a room on the side of the main building on the deck! People outside taking and no office staff available.
We arrived on Saturday and was able to check in a little early. The check in was super relaxed and easy. The restaurant was open that night but none of the patrons caused any issues for us upstairs in the rooms. We were staying with multiple people and had multiple rooms booked. Sunday had very little activity and all the other people staying were nice, polite, and we had a great time. The hot tub was warm and relaxing on a snowy day. The option for $2 soda unlimited refill was great! The ice was also easy to access and great. The back porch allowed us to get some fresh air and enjoy the view. The only very small issue we ran into was that on Sunday morning the water for a shower was luke warm at best. I tend to enjoy hot showers but on Monday it was hot!
This is a great little place to stay; some rooms are cabin style and some our motel style. we stayed in mid-February. On Friday evenings dinner is served and it was fantastic; TJ is the chef and his food is always amazing. Brunch is served on weekend mornings and it is also great. The staff are always professional and very helpful.
Very cozy and quiet. Hot tub was great with views of the Sawtooths. Walkable to stores and restaurant. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again! Cannot wait to plan a return trip to Stanley. I am sure the summer has just as much if not more to offer than the winter.
We had a lovely winter weekend at the Stanley High Country Inn. Spent some time in the hot tub, playing gin rummy in front of the fireplace and eating to our hearts content. I recommend both the brunch and the dinner. The food is INCREDIBLE. We were absolutely blown away by it. Friendly staff and cozy. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family. We’ll be coming back!
