Detailed Reviews
The inn is welcoming and relaxed. We stayed multiple days with our three year old and her dog. The views are beautiful. With hot springs and lakes all around you won't find a better location. My wife spent some of her time receiving a massage in the spa and she had nothing but a glowing smile when she was done. Let's not forget about redfish lake. The fresh mountain water makes the lake crystal clear. The view from anywhere in the water is unbelievable. If that is not enough, you can always hit the beach. It is one of our favorite lakes to boat on!!!

+1
This Inn has rooms with direct access to a deck that looks directly over the beautiful Salmon River. We loved sitting on the deck drinking coffee, listening to the flow of the river and watching the wildlife. The rooms are clean and large with kitchenettes for those who want to make a quick meal before venturing out to snowshoe, snowmobiling or hiking. We also enjoyed the location as it was near the Mountain Village Resort where they serve prime rib on Thursday and Friday nights. We were very happy with our stay and the supporting staff. Definitely deserves 5 Stars!

Overall we had a lovely stay in one of the upstairs queen rooms overlooking the Salmon River. The views from the porch were amazing and we would come back just for that! The bed was comfortable and the coffee provided in the room was excellent. We didn’t use the kitchenette to prepare meals, but it seemed well supplied. We were happy to be upstairs and couldn’t hear the guests in the adjoining rooms or below us. Great water pressure in the shower, but the overall decor and bathroom fixtures could be refurbished, considering the rates charged. The room and bathroom were clean, but had a “tired” look. From reservations to check-out every member of the staff we interacted with was helpful and very pleasant.

Thank you for your review and your feedback! We really appreciate it and continue to update and improve our rentals. In the last 2 years we have done extensive remodels on all of the Sawtooth Lodge, the Rangers Cabin and the Osprey Suite #8. We look forward to more improvements.

After backpacking in the Sawtooth Mountains for four days and three nights, the Redfish Riverside Inn was a great place to stay. We had a room with a sink, coffee maker, refrigerator, and this made our first night back into civilization so much more comfortable. The clothes line was most helpful for drying all our dirty clothes. The clerk who checked us in was very helpful in getting my laundry done, too. The bathroom and shower was most luxuious!

I brought my mom here to celebrate her 100th birthday. When I called to make reservations, they went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience.
Our first floor room opened up to a lovely deck with the Salmon river right below. From the Adirondack chairs outside your room, to the dining table on the deck, you are set for comfortable and relaxing stay right on the river.
Stanley is a very small town with less than 100 full time residents. Don't go there expecting some over crowded "resort " experience. Rather, expect to unwind. Take a deep breath, go for a hike, rafting, horseback riding or fishing.
If you like a quiet dining experience, the rooms were outfitted with a kitchenette, including dishes, silverware, glasses, etc.
OH! I almost forgot one of the most surprising details... the beds are so very comfortable! Good mattresses and very soft bedding. Additionally, the many pillows they provide you are various sizes to accommodate anyone.
Despite the poor air quality this week due to fires in Idaho and surrounding states, it was still beautiful views. The Sawtooth mountain range is spectacular.
We drove over to Redfish Lake. Way too many people out there for my taste. Much preferred the less hectic atmosphere at the Riverside Inn.
I would definitely go back and stay at the Redfish Riverside Inn.

Really enjoyed our four night visit to Stanley and were really happy with our stay at Redfish Riverside Inn. We loved upstairs Room #4, it was large and had a kitchenette and deck to view the beautiful river. Handy to everything in Stanley, unlike the Redfish Lodge which is further away. We had good cell service here, too, unlike the Lodge. I was worried about the lack of AC, but it got down in the 30s and 40s at night so not a problem. Be sure to go to the Stanley Baking Co cafe for breakfast, we went all 4 mornings and it was fantastic! We did eat dinner at the Lodge one night and it was wonderful. Person who takes care of everything here was great, she offered lots of good suggestions and kept everything very clean.

We enjoyed 2 days at the Redfish Riverside Inn. The room was on the second floor overlooking the Salmon River. Such a beautiful place! The bed was very comfortable, the heat worked quickly which was great because it snowed while we were there. The room had a small refrigerator and freezer as well as a toaster and cooktop with everything you would need to cook. The shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. They also had a coffee pot and tasty coffer. We loved our stay and highly recommend making reservations.

Our room was on the second floor, giving us a breathtaking view of the river and the mountains. Although it was too cold to sit outside, we could sit near the window (and the fireplace) and enjoy the views just the same. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room was well-kept; stocked with dishes and everything we could need.

Fantastic view of river and pastures across the river, all down hill after that. Place is in serious need of painting and remodel. Our door would not LOCK, no deadbolts.
It is apparent that little effort has gone into maintenance of this place, from the moment you drive up you see peeling paint and little grounds maintenance. Room decor is 20 years old and tired. The Redfish Lodge management team should be embarrassed for charging such high rates . We moved to Ketchum, had a SPOTLESS room and payed $ 100.00 less. Once was enough for us.

We stayed in unit #2, it had two queen beds and was very roomy. But the beds are next to each other so if you want privacy you might want your own room.
The beds were very comfortable and we lied listening to the river flow by as we slept.
Probably a half mile to mile walk. We've done it often with no problems. If one of your party has mobility issues, I recommend driving instead. Parking should be no problem.
I don't know. Have never seen a pet there, but you would want to call the owners and find out for sure.
"Parking is tight. Stanley is very small. Several local restaurants provide meals but no real 'fast food' places - thank goodness!"Read full review
