We have been coming to Redfish the past several years late in the season and stayed in a different place each year. This year was Fishhook 32. Nice bed on first floor although a bit high. Living room with fireplace was very cozy. Did not have a coffee maker but that was remedied quickly with a call to the lodge. Ate twice in the lodge dining room and food/service was excellent. Looking forward to next year already!
I grew up visiting Red Fish Lake and the Lodge and I finally got to share it with my children. They loved it just as much as I do. It’s a beautiful magical place and the staff and lodging are great as well. If ever I hear someone say their visiting Idaho I recommend Red Fish Lake Lodge. If you get the chance and love nature, take it and go.
Great retreat! Kokanee #37 comfy. Nice walk-in shower. Lodge restaurant great all 3 nights! Very friendly staff. Need speed bumps on the gravel driveway! Speedsters caused a lot of dust! Beautiful location! Will definitely return. This was our second time staying here.
the resort sits by the beautiful lake with beaches and a marina. there are many hiking trails nearby. a two-hour horseback riding offered by the nearby redfish corrals was very enjoyable. out of three days we stayed the wildfire smoke was very thick over there. if it bothers you you need to look into it before making a reservation. the good: - beautiful lake and surroundings, a good beach vacation substitute if you can't get to the oceans - nice old-style wood cabins, i mean wood inside and out - weekend live music by the lake has a great vibe - friendly front desk and restaurant staff the bad: - it's a very busy place, difficult to get a reservation - it's pretty expensive, paid 376+tax for a cabin. supply and demand principle at work i guess - bedsheets are paper thin and blankets are old - chairs and their cushions on our patio are in bad shape, no desire to sit on them - no wifi in the cabin, limited cellphone coverage, guess this is a plus to some guests - very slow wifi by the main building…
Mountain luxury at its best! Nestled on the shores of the beautiful glacier lake, Red Fish Lake Lodge offers the ultimate luxury experience. From the cozy cabins, to the fine dining, I can’t think of a more wonderful place to spend a weekend.
The lodge is rustic and cozy and brings back fond childhood memories. The gnocchi at Limbert’s restaurant was so tasty and easily the best meal I’ve had in years. The scenery was gorgeous and we enjoyed some really nice hikes. The boat ride to the south end of the lake is a must do! The trail to Lily pond and the falls was moderate so good hiking boots a must. It’s a quick trip to Sunbeam Dam and Custer ghost town from the resort. The view at the resort is spectacular and rivals National parks in its beauty. Easily the clearest lake water I have ever seen.
My wife and I and 4 of our closest friends decided to have a get-away at Redfish Lake Resort. We stay at one of their cabins (Triangle C) in Stanley and would venture to the resort at Redfish Lake or any of a number of places within the area. The entire experience was epic! The folks at the resort and cabin could not have been more accommodating and professional. Their service and facilities were matched only by the incredible scenery that surrounds you in every direction. Trust me...this experience will change you! Highest props possible! Can't wait to go back...
Excellent accommodations and amazing food in Limbert’s! The shower in cabin 39 was unbelievable! Instant hot water and powerful water pressure. The managers of both the lodge and Limbert’s went out of their way to ensure that our stay exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back next year!
Five families appear every year for Labor Day Weekend. We rent a pontoon and hit the diving rock and SUP. Picnic at North Beach and the beach, ride bikes on the new Stanley bike path. Hike to Goat Lake. The music this year was super on Friday and Sunday. Never a dull moment, yet we don't do much - which is the whole idea.
We were looking for somewhere to stop off between Missoula and Boise and chose Redfish Lake. Although just for one night, it was a great choice. Beautiful setting, friendly staff, a convivial atmosphere at the lake front, and superb food in the restaurant. The only drawback is that there’s no cellphone connection and wifi is only available in or near the main building- and at times that doesn’t work at all. Best to get up early before everyone else has logged on.
